Animal parts
Examples: Horns, hooves, antlers, bones, tusks, claws, teeth, hides, skins, l
feathers, Māori cloak, korowai, traditional cloak, sleeping bags,
dream catcher, wool, mohair, angora, cashmere, alpaca, coral, b
ivory, turtle shell.
Allowed if: It has been commercially processed or mounted so it is free of a
extraneous organic material, pest infestation, evidence of decay,
(if applicable).
Extra tip: Some items made from animal parts are protected under the
Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES),
crocodiles, sea turtles, snakes, marine mammals (including Ta
elephants, wolves, lions, tigers, and bears. They may require C
imported or may be prohibited.
