Rationale

The purpose of this course module is to provide students with knowledge and understanding
about business process management. It contains three (3) modules. Before reading the
lessons, the module outcomes are presented so that students will know of what is expected
from them after completing the module. After reading all the topics, students are required to
answer the post-test to assess the knowledge and learning that they have gained. The post-test
can be in a form of a case study where students are expected to apply the concepts and
theories that they have gained in their readings. Each module should be completed in two (2)
weeks’ time; hence, all requirements should be submitted in a specified period.

As the student explores the module, he or she is guided with a Learning Plan. The learning
plan outlines the learning and development activities to be undertaken by each student in
achieving the desired outcomes. Specifically, the learning plan contains the following
sections:

o Let’s hit these. This section defines the learning objectives that the students are
expected to achieve at the end of the lesson. It describes the knowledge and skills that
will be acquired by a student after completing each lesson.

o Let’s get started. This section contains enabling activity wherein a student is given a
pre-test to determine a baseline knowledge of the topic/s that he or she is about to
learn. The pre-test may be in a form of a case study, video clip, quiz, or any related
material that directs the learner to the topics/s that he or she is going to explore in
later part of the lesson.

o Let’s find out. This section provides analysis of the activity given in the previous
section. The important information that has been gathered by the student in his or her
readings of the previous activity are presented, evaluated and summarized. The
analysis will prepare the learner in moving to the next section.

o Let’s read. This section covers text/readings and other related materials as inputs of
the lesson. This will give student the opportunity to review and study the materials for
the enrichment of his or her understanding of the topics.

o Let’s remember. This section serves as a summary of the lesson. It contains essential
information only that includes the key ideas and main points that are worth noting and
remembering by the students.

o Let’s do this. This section provides a formative assessment for the learner. The
assessment includes quizzes and tests that evaluate the student’s learning material
throughout a course.

o Let’s check. This section shows the correct answers to the questions indicated in the
formative assessment. The outcomes of the assessment will determine the student’s
level of learning.
