Communication is a systematic
process in which people interact
with and through symbols to
create and interpret meaning.

Communication is the process of sending and
receiving messages through verbal or nonverbal
means, including speech, or oral
communication; writing and graphical
representations (such as infographics, maps, and
charts); and signs, signals, and behavior.

1. INTRAPERSONAL COMMUNICATION

- occurs within oneself, also referred to as


cognitive or personal communication

2. INTERPERSONAL COMMUNICATION

- occurs between two or more (usually less


than 20) individuals who establish a
communicative relationship

- involves a larger number of


participants, usually with a speaker
sending message to an audience

- it can be direct (face-to-face) or
