“God is love.

Whoever lives in love lives

in God, and God in him” (1 John 4:16). The
Bible tells us that we are made to be a
reflection of God’s love. It doesn’t say,
“Love is.” Love is the result of how we
live our life as Christians (1 Cor. 13:4).
The apostle Paul wrote, “Each one should
test his own actions. Then he can act with
confidence in Christ” (Col 3:21).

With this knowledge, work together with

other families and community leaders to
make the world a better place. When we ask
“How can I love my neighbor as myself?”,
Jesus is asking us to develop
relationships of mutual care and concern
for one another. This means that everyone
has an important part in loving and caring
for others, not just those who are easy or
comfortable to love. Living out this
commandment requires each of us to put our
own needs aside on occasion and act
selflessly toward others. It means finding
opportunities every day to reach out to
strangers, neighbors, friends and family
members.

PRAYER
Father in Heaven, thank you for all the graces and
blessings. You have provided upon us. We thank you
for our food and shelter, our health, the loves we
have for one another, our family and friends.

Dear Father, in Your infinite generosity, please

grant us continued graces and blessing throughout
the coming year.

This we ask in the Name of Jesus, Your Son and our

Brother. Amen.
