Teaching Date February 16, 2023 Quarter Third (Matter)

Topic MODULE 1: THE PARTICLE NATURE OF MATTER

Sub Topic PHYSICAL AND CHEMICAL CHANGES
Time Allotment 50 minutes
Learning Competencies and Objectives
Content Standard: The learners demonstrate an understanding of the particle nature of matter as basis for explaining properties,
physical changes, and structure of substances and mixtures.
Performance Standard: The learners shall be able to present how water behaves in its different states within the water cycle.

Learning Competencies The learners should be able to explain the properties of solids, liquids, and gases based on the particle nature
and Code of matter (S8MT-IIIa-b-8)
Objectives: The learners should be able to:
1. differentiate the physical and chemical changes
2. identify whether the Chemical change is exothermic reaction or endothermic reaction
3. Appreciate the importance of understanding the physical and chemical changes through explanations.

a. Does it indicate special cases including but not limited to continuation of lesson Yes, it does because this topic is supposedly conducted on
plan to the following day in case of re-teaching or lack of time, transfer of the lesson February 15, 2023 but due to class suspension, it was not taken
to the following day in cases of class suspension, etc.? up. I continued the class on February 16, 2023 and just finished
until ‘’EXPLORE’’ since I haven’t manage to finish until
evaluation.

b. Ineffective and why not? learning I used the strategy which is group activity in this
area, students could develop and practice collaboration. In
my opinion this is a great strategy since they could share
their ideas together. In addition, students could build social
interaction with their classmates.
b. Straight discussion, since my voice quality is not
modulated I find difficult to get the attention of my students.
Some of them are distracted to do other things.

difficult to handle. While I’m having a lesson they
continuously roaming around and chatting with friends.
3. What help do I need from my principal or supervisor to address the The help they can offer to me is more guidance on how
difficulties/challenges I encountered? to handle difficult scenarios in the classroom while having a
class.
