E. Abstraction

The teacher conducts a lecture-discussion on the Music of South and West Asian of

Israel. Power point presentation will be used and students will give the summary of

the lecture discussion.

Questions:

1. What is music of India?

2. How does Indian music becomes unique?

e. F. Application

The Asian Composers League (ACL) will join the “Tunog-tugan Festival” which is

sponsored by the National Commission for culture and the Arts (NCCA). As a

member representative of the league from Israel, you are to create simple

accompaniment to the song Zum Gali Gali using an improvised darbuk instrument.

You will perform during the parade of the participations in the opening ceremony. You

will be assessed by the ACL President based on a rubric.

Direction: Answer the following

2. What are the different instrument of India? Explain each of them.

H. Assignment

Watch a performance of “ Shalom Charerim” by the Israelis. As you watch it, observe

and analyze the way they perform the song. Give your observation based on the Israelis

performance of the song in a ½ sheet of paper.
