management for Mini Group of companies; and running a motor vehicle garage steel structural fabrication and fleet
administration that was specifically formed for the purpose of internally serving the Mini Group of companies. We

AUTOMOBILE FOREMAN

Job Summary:

As an automobile foreman, you will be responsible for the administration and maintenance of vehicles to minimize
downtimes and enhance delivery time. You will also manage vehicle performance to ensure vehicles are optimally
utilized to reduce wastage and maximize returns.

Key responsibilities

 Perform ongoing inspection and daily preventative maintenance activities on all vehicles.
 Prepare and submit daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly maintenance reports giving highlights of any
abnormalities and variances and the corrective actions
 Respond to requests relating to service calls and maintenance needs/ problems in a timely and
professional manner
 Ensure proper planning and scheduling for timely repair and maintenance to ensure there are no
downtimes that could affect business operations
 Oversee implementation of policies and procedures applicable to fleet, maintenance and inventory
operations, including safety and training
 Ensure that all relevant procedures, SOPs and routines are followed and adhered to in line with the
company policy, procedures and requirements
 Evaluate mechanical problems in vehicles and assist mechanics complete major repairs
 Troubleshoot mechanical problems (sometimes from a remote location) and have the capacity to make
decisions independently.
 Initiating purchases of motor vehicle spare parts required for repairs.

Requirements

 Diploma in Automotive/Mechanical engineering or any other relevant field.

 Valid driver’s license (at least Kenya classes BCE) is a MUST.
 At least 5 years’ in a similar role.
 Proficiency in Computer applications (Ms Word, Ms Excel, Ms Powerpoint) is a MUST
 Willing to work flexible hours including late or early hours, weekends, and holidays
 Ability to handle a multitude of tasks that may be on the go at the one time
 Good communication both in Kiswahili and English (Written and Oral).
