I. OBJECTIVES
CONTENT STANDARDS The leaner understands the relationship of a well written text and the context
in which it was developed.
PERFORMANCE STANDARDS The learner writes a 1000-word critique of a selected text on the basis of its
claim/s context, and properties as a written material.
LEARNING COMPETENCIES Identifies claims explicitly or implicitly made in a written text.
At the end of the session, the learners should be able to:
A. identify the types of claims used in a text;
SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
B. apply the types of claims in writing a text; and
C. appreciate the importance of claims made in a text.

IV. PROCEDURES (4A’s) Preliminary Activities:
1. A checklist was used to monitor the safety and security of the learners inside the
classroom.
2. Prayer (in Christian, Muslim & IP)

5. For learners with disabilities who have physical and visual impairment
They will be offered preferential seating near in front of the classroom so that
he/she get as much from visual and auditory cue as possible.
