Chapter 7

A just and progressive community with citizens who are free to grow is the ideal life.
Humans have the autonomy to make choices that benefit themselves and society. The
Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) was adopted. While acknowledging
inherent dignity and inalienable rights of all members of the human family is the
cornerstone for global freedom, justice, and peace (UDHR Preamble). Because we are
all human, we have absolute moral worth. Our fundamental basic principle is human
dignity. We create a just and progressive society when we fully realize and respect this
fact in ourselves and others, regardless of their situation in life. In such a community, we
can become completely human, more free, logical, and loving. Humans are freer when
enabled to make decisions for their own well-being.
We become more logical when we appreciate and apply logic and science ideas
in our life. We become more loving when we ensure that our initiatives, scientific or not,
are founded on human dignity. It means knowing one's basic human rights, which must
always be maintained in changing circumstances. This international treaty, which was
adopted by the United Nations General Assembly, enshrined the rights and freedoms of
all human beings. It is known as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR).
The Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) was adopted by the newly founded
United Nations on December 10, 1948, in reaction to "barbarous actions which offended
the conscience of mankind" committed during World War II. When it was adopted, it was
acknowledged that human rights serve as the cornerstone for freedom, justice, and
peace.
The author of the piece titled "why the future doesn't need us" claims that new
technologies pose a far larger threat to humanity than any other technology has ever
presented to the world before. A man concentrates his research on engineering,
nanotechnology, and robotics in particular. Which makes humans aided and have lessor
works. Thus, this chapter entails that humans have their rights and international
organizations are doing their best to provide technology that does not outshine human
capacities.
