Best-Selling Car August 2021, Avanza Reclaim the Throne

Jakarta – Toyota Avanza is back to becoming a best-selling car in Indonesia, MPV that was
known for people’s choice is now stand at the highest spot of best-selling car list on August
2021. Car sales on August 2021 were increased and according to Data Gabungan Industri
Kendaraan Bermotor Indonesia (Gaikindo) stated that car sales by wholesales (distribution from
factory to dealer) has a large increase in sales by 25%. Wholesales on August 2021 recorded
83.319 units increased from 66.639 units which are the previous month sales.
Toyota Avanza went pass though other cars such Honda Brio, Suzuki Carry, and Mitsubishi
Xpander in the fight over best-selling car throne in Indonesia. Toyota Avanza released 6.212
units on August 2021 and this number has become a best-selling car. Suzuki Carry is at 2nd
position with 5.315 units of sales continue with 3rd Toyota Kijang Innova with 5.091 units of
sales while Mitsubishi Xpander (including XPander Cross) the tight competitor with Toyota
Avanza is at 4th position with 4.925 units of sales.
Fifth position is Daihatsu Sigra with 4.859 units of sales, 6th position filled by Toyota Rush by
4.715 units of sales continue with 7th position Toyota Calya with 3.919 units of sales continue
with 8th, 9th, 10th position consecutively filled by Daihatsu Gran Max (minibus and pickup) with
3.376 units, Toyota Fortuner 2.945 units and Toyota Raize with 2.883 units sold.
Where is Honda Brio which is the top of best-selling car in last year? According to Gaikindo,
Honda Brio (including Brio Satya) sold 2.369 units and currently at 13th position in best-selling
car list August 2021.
