AVABIOLUBE
DESCRIPTION

AVABIOLUBE is a polysorbitol based additive, environmentally safe and biodegradable, developed to enhance
performances of water based mud systems.

APPLICATION

AVABIOLUBE strongly adsorbs itself onto surface of troublesome shale, forming a repellent barrier. This barrier
hinders water from ingress preventing disruption of clay platelets, minimizing the effect of water on sensitive shales
and reducing mud filtrate loss. In water based mud systems AVABIOLUBE increases cutting hardness and decreases

mud dilution. It improves lubrication, reducing incidence of stuck pipe and enhancing penetration rate. AVABIOLUBE
does not have the reverse solubility property (cloud point) of others glycol based additives.

TREATMENT

AVABIOLUBE can be used in conjunction with common water based mud products and may complement
AVACLAYBLOCK1 or other clay inhibitors as primary clay inhibitor. Recommended level for AVABIOLUBE treatment
is 30 - 40 l/m³. Potassium ions may be not required to use with AVABIOLUBE, although enhanced performances are
typically observed in the presence of potassium ions.
