Honoring Through Respect

The advent of the cell phone of this high-

technology generation in information has
lessened man’s respect for God’s provision –the
food served on the tables of every home.
Do we know that the dining table when
foods are served should have our respect to
honor the presence of the Holy Spirit who
allows us to enjoy God’s abundance through the
food that we eat? I know you know that.If not,
now you know.
With how one “adores” his cell phone
today , it seems every text message that comes
is more important than the food he is suppose
to enjoy out of God’s grace . You could have
observed that most people dining either at
home or in restaurants are more attentive to the
message by immediately reading and replying
without delay .I SUPPOSSE WE CAN BE
CONSIDERED IN a restaurant because it’s not
our home and everyone seems to be in a hurry,
so that food and cell phone sit side by side.
Sometimes , it urges the person eating to put
down his spoon or fork to give way to the
purpose of the message.. This person could also
be YOU. It may not be my business how you
make use or appreciate your cell phone but for
God’s sake let me just express what I feel of
what I know how to regard the unseen presence
of God. Before getting into my senses in this
particular matter, I had this kind of attitude
I don’t know why we have to be so attentive
to any text message when it can wait for some
minutes to be answered. Except when it is a
call-that would be“an emergency” so we reply
as needed. But not all calls today are
considered urgent, because of the phone plan
one is free to call anytime for faster
communication without extra cost because it is
in the plan.
The cell phone today has become any
man’s best friend and companion 24/7. And so
sad to think because you cannot find a Quiet
Time for the Lord for when it sounds your
mind would be in it to know and reply.
Getting back to the dining table concern, I
suggest we first get done with our food –then
the cell phone.
You will agree with me that in some
families today every member who could now
read and understand possesses a cell phone,
correct? In our home my adult children and
grandchildren do have cell phones. And I am
sad to see them having their units beside their
plates while dining. From time to time I
remind them about honoring God by respecting
His holy presence through the food on the table.
They take my word but sometimes they forget.
Then tell them again. Remember, God is a
jealous God- He wants us to give Him priority
attention in all that we do.
angay natong buhaton. The dining table
becomes sacred when food is served and we the
diners are around to enjoy God’s goodness
and provision. Be sure when you tell family
members to do away with cell phones during ,
mealtime , show them you religiously do it
yourself.

CruzTelco has finally arrived at an
appreciable way of entertaining customers’
concern especially when our telephone does
not accordingly serve its purpose. My recent
billing already bears the number in their office
which we can text or call when there is need to.
The number is 09483406105 . When I received
our billing it was on time that our unit did not
have a dial tone. Immediately I text (ed) said
number and thanks, because the next day it was
fixed. Good.

Must I forget Oct.. 18 ? (2011) No! It was
on such date that a major surgical operation I
was scheduled to undergo at the Cebu Doctors’
University Hospital . But with God’s divine
intervention the decision was reversed. No need
for it. As if I was on high heavens when my
attending physician, Dr. John Viola informed me
on the morning of Oct. 18 last year. Maorag
kagahapon lang. And even now, as if I could
not believe that because of the decision of the
doctor I am still here- alive and kicking. Thank
God. If that happened I don ‘t know if I would
have survived.. I could have been a goner by
now kun dili nako maagwanta ang . operasyon. .
I didn’t know why. When I was discharged
from the hospital on that same day, it was
there I learned from my children who were with
me and our family caregiver that my case has
to do with .my heart . That’s it. My weeklong
ordeal –Wednesday to Wednesday is something
I would never forget. As I was admitted to the
hospital on a Wednesday evening as an
emergency case on Oct. 12 and came home
victorious over my ailment on the morning of a
next Wednesday, Oct. 19 .To my God Jesus
Christ be the glory !

As I had the opportunity to go out last Tuesday ,
billing. The paying department is spacious, clean,
clear and cool . It’s fairly airconditioned. Maybe
dugay na apan since it was my first time to get in
there kay dili man ako ang tigbayad sa
among bills, mao nga karon ra pud ko maka notice.
It’s just an appreciation of making their customers
feel comfortable. Good. And there, I met a long
time friend-back to broadcast years at RPN_DXKD-
Ms. Rizaline Vidal Pancho, popularly known for being
a crusader at the Bantay ng Bayan. Nice meeting
you Riza after so many years. Hope to see you at
the CCF fellowship tomorrow at 9:30am .at the 4th
floor of Top Plaza Hotel. I hope you can find time
as you promised me. It’s always worth to come to
God’s presence to worship Him in the beauty of His
holiness!

Justice delayed-justice denied! This admission
addressed to the implementors of justice is evident
in the case of former Labor Leader Rolando Olalia
whose death of almost 26 years ago still hangs
unsolved. . His son, Rico Olalia, a lawyer by
profession came into the open to express out the
sentiments seeking justice to the death of his father.
The young Olalia with his family hope that the
administration of Pres. Noynoy Aquino would help
them the justice they ask for. Atty Olalia aired his
heart’s desire in the program of Karen Davila-
Headstart on Wednesday.
kun ang kaatbang o kontra adunay igong influensiya
sa gobyerno.o sa katilingban. What do you think?
Mao kini nakadaut sa atong sistema -awarding of
justice is at some point selective.
Our society needs
fair and speedy trial and the dispensation of justice no
matter who gets hurt. Ang Dios ra ba dili gyud
gusto sa mga paghukom nga adunay paboran. Ang
sad-an- sad-an gyud ug ang inosente- makagula
gyud.

Did I hear it right nga ang bag-o kono nga tag
peso bill sayon ra nga mapeke?. So bantay bantay
lang ta kun duna na ta niana. Daghan na pud
maowat kay needed kaayo ang kwarta this
Christmas and the election in May 2013.
