Report etc considered for design. It is thus requested to provide the Design
Basis report for the UGT highlighting the above.
• Breakup of Loads applied in STAAD Model may please be provided.
• Surcharge Pressure 1.667 kN/m seems to be less. Break up of this load
may be provided. Please check if vehicle load surcharge needs to be
included in calculation.
• Pore water pressure from the outer side has not been considered for
wall design. Please check the sufficiency of the model for Empty
condition of tank with earth pressure, surcharge pressure and pore

• Load Combination 7 is mentioned as Tank Empty Condition. However
water load is added in combination. Please check all load combinations
again
• In STAAD model the thickness of bottom slab considered as 300 mm.
However in drawing and design document it has been mentioned as
250 mm. Please reconcile.
• In Design document exposure condition is highlighted as “severe”.
However grade of concrete considered as M25 and crack width limit

as 0.2mm which needs to rechecked and corrected as per Table no 05
and Clause no 35.3.2 of IS 456: 2000 respectively.

4. Drawing • Specification for cover slab (Manhole opening) may be provided. Also
Detailed design calculation for roof slab may be included.
• All necessary Stability checks as per IS 3370 -1:2009 should be carried
