Figure 1 click the link then download the Ubuntu Server.

Figure 3 click the virtual box manager onto your desktop.

Figure 4 click the machine on the top then click new then type a name you want
then click next.

Figure 5 for the amount of physical memory leave it as the default amount then
click next.

Figure 6 for the hard disk, select the create a new virtual hard disk then
click create then just click next on the following until you reach the File
location and size part.

Figure 7 for the size of the hard drive, make it to 40gb then click create.

Figure 8 click the settings on the top then, click storage then, click empty on the
IDE then, click the drop-down menu after that, choose a disk file.

Figure 9 browse the ubuntu server that you downloaded, select it then,
click open.

Figure 12 select the language you want then press ENTER.

Figure 13 select the default which is the continue without updating.

Figure 15 the ip address is a little bit different from the others


depending on the type of network you selected but just click done and
continue on the following screen until you reach the profile setup screen.

Figure 16 on this screen you will fill up all the needed information to go to
the next step and just make sure to remember all the information that you will
enter then click done.

Figure 17 just choose install OpenSSH server then click done.

Figure 18 in the last screen we need to select all the extra packages that we
want to install during the installation of ubuntu server but for now just don’t mind
all the packages and just select done.

Figure 19 just wait a few minutes to let the installation finished.

Figure 20 once the installation is complete select the cancel update


and reboot then wait for the process of cancelling to be finished then we
will be rebooting the operating system.

Figure 22 click the machine on the top then, click storage then, click the
installation media optical drive then, click on the drop-down menu and remove disk then
uncheck the Live CD/DVD after then click ok. After that, press enter when you’re on the right
screen.

Figure 23 enter your username and password then press enter then the Ubuntu
will welcome you and that’s it, you’re good to go.
