Learning 2.3 The student will compare the lives and contributions of three
Content Knowledge

Objective American Indian cultures of the past and present, with emphasis
on
a) the Powhatan of the Eastern Woodlands;
b) the Lakota of the Plains; and
c) the Pueblo peoples of the Southwest.

In this activity, my students are going to use Mindmeister to create a

mindmap to compare the lives of three American Indian cultures.
Pedagogy
Planning

Activity 1. The teacher will review the names of the three tribes and go
over facts about them.
2. The students will be given a worksheet to separate the tribes
based on what they eat, how their houses are built, and where
they live.
3. After completing the worksheet, students will be advised to go
to MindMeister and create a mind map with at least one
picture per tribe and a few facts about each one.
4. Once completed the student will raise their hand and the
teacher will check to make sure the student has facts and one
picture.

 Web 2.0 The web 2.0 tool being used is Mindmeister. Mindmeister is available
Technology through the website https://www.mindmeister.com on a computer, laptop,
or smartphone device. Mindmeister is also available through IOS and
Android phones through the app store.f
