TITLE: ‘‘YOUTH TOWARDS PEACE’’

Everyone knows that youth means the period of life when people say you’re neither a
child nor adult. To simplify, you are a teen or young adult. This also means that youth are in the age
range where most of us start to think about the future. Where most of us became mature and being
able to decide what is best. Not only the future of the individual itself, but also the future of society,
country, younger generations and even the world. Why is exactly youth being related to future? In
my opinion, youths are the important age group in both today’s society and future society.
Therefore, youth has to play a role in creating a peaceful future for our families, communities and
country. The question is, what is exactly a peaceful world looks like?

In my view, peaceful world does not only mean peace between countries and war free. It
is more than that. For instance, everyone needs to achieve peace between themselves, their family
and other people in the community. To start with, everyone must find peace for their own self. For
example, to find peace, we must learn how to control our emotion and take care of our mental
health. If we were able to find inner peace and morals, peace between families can be achieved. By
this, we can be a good son or daughter. Even, good parents. A peaceful relationship between family
members can create a harmonious next generation. Moreover, good relationship between
neighbors, schoolmate, co-workers and even strangers can lead to peaceful world by having peace
between communities. To achieve this, how can young people work together to realize a peaceful
future that everybody wants?

First and foremost, there are many ways for youths to realize a peaceful future. To start,
youth are said to be more advance in technologies nowadays. As the world is constantly evolving in
technologies, youth can grab this opportunity to promote peace. To make some examples, youths
can spread peace awareness on social platforms. In addition, we can organize project or educations
about world peace, collect donations and spread awareness about other countries hardships.
Through this, youths from all over the world can work together at any time and anywhere. Plus,
updates from any places can easily be acknowledged globally.

Besides, youth can influence other youth. This is because youths are the one who can
understand each other more. They have been in the situation where they wanted the future to be
peaceful. However, they have been pressured with the responsibility of growing up. Due to this,
some might say they don’t care about the future. To change this mindset, peer influence from other
youth can be used. After succeeding in peer influence, adults and other people can be influenced
too. To point out, even leader’s decision might start from an ordinary person. This shows that words
can easily influence others. However, everyone must be aware that education is the key to build a
knowledgeable generation that are trustworthy and reliable. So, only influence with knowledge by
education can lead to a peaceful future.

As well as, we must stand for justice and what we believe in. Do not be afraid of other
people’s criticism because we know that we stand for justice and humanity. Everyone should have
the same opportunity and equality regarding gender, race, nationality and religion. To add, youths
should stand together to encourage other people to do the right thing for peace. Eventually, justice
and humanity will not fade and will be passed down to next generation and so on. As a result,
peaceful future can be realized because the younger generation already have the nature to stand up
for what is right and not afraid to take responsibilities.

To sum up, there are many things that youth can do to create a peaceful future. It is true
that the process towards peaceful future takes a lot of energy and time whereas Rome was not built
in a day. Everyone must take the responsibility when it comes to creating a better future. Therefore,
everyone must take action starting from today because youth is one of society’s main agent towards
change and progress. Today’s youth will also be set as an example to younger generation that will
continue this mindset.
