Wanna know about “Your Lie in April” ?

Your Lie in April is a Japanese romantic drama manga series that was written and
illustrated by Naoshi Arakawa, and has been adapted into an anime television
series, a live-action movie, a light novel, and multiple stage productions.

「四月は君の嘘」、“Shigatsu wa Kimi ni uso”

Author: Naoshi Arakawa (新川 直司) - is a Japanese manga artist, known for his
work Your Lie in April.

Why is it titled as “Your Lie in April”?

“Shigatsu”, or “April”, comes from the phrase Kousei uses to describe Kaori (“She exists inside
spring”), spring being used to describe and symbolize Kaori throughout the show; the “lie” can
be deduced from two things: Kaori claiming at the beginning to like Watari, when in fact she
was in love with Kousei, and her promise “let’s play again together”, when in actuality she knew
she would die before she got the chance. Alternatively, it could refer to the Kaori’s claim that all
musicians are scared when they go on stage, but they feign confidence and thus performance
itself is a lie: “We’re all just faking it, some of us better than others, but you put your music on
the stand and play anyhow because that’s the way you tell the most beautiful lie of them all.”

Characters:
Kaori Miyazono (宮園 かをり, Miyazono Kaori) is the main female
protagonist of the 2011 manga Your Lie in April and its 2014 anime
adaptation.
The only daughter of Ryouko and Yoshiyuki Miyazono, Kaori was a highly
proficient and talented violinist, who was known for her free-spirited,
extemporised style of playing, based on her personality.
 Kousei Arima (有馬 公生, Arima Kōsei) is the main protagonist of the Your
Lie in April series. He is the son of Takahiko Arima and Saki Arima and a
student attending Sumiya Junior High School who was the youngest winner
of the Maihou Piano Competition.

Ryouta Watari (渡 亮太, Watari Ryōta) is one of the main characters of

the Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso series. He is a student attending Sumiya
Junior High School who is the captain of the football team.

Tsubaki Sawabe (澤部 椿, Sawabe Tsubaki?) is one of the main characters

of the Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso series. She is a third-year at Sumiya Junior
High School.
