Edz: One of the greatest talents of all is the talent to recognize and to develop the
talents in others- Colin Powell (Colin Luther Powell was an American politician, statesman,
diplomat, and United States Army officer who was the 65th United States secretary of state
from 2001 to 2005. He was the first African American secretary of United States of America
in 2001-2005. Wikipedia)
Chring: We are gathered here today in cognizance with the Regional Memorandum
No. 208, series of 2023, which aims to conduct a co-curricular activity that provides
opportunities for learners to demonstrate their best products, services, and
performances as authentic pieces of evidence of their learning across academic areas,
key stages, inclusion, and special curricular programs.
Edz: Moreover, it targets to instill in the minds of the learner- participants, and the
teacher- coaches an atmosphere of sound competition, camaraderie, and
sportsmanship.
Edz: Our salute and respect to this group of erudite individuals of the Department of
Education headed by our very own Region 9 Director, DR. RUTH L. FUENTES, CESO

Both: Good afternoon everyone! and welcome to this Regional Festival of Talents,
Region 9, Zamboanga Peninsula with the theme: REINFORCING 21ST CENTURY
LEARNING AND FOSTERING CREATIVE INDUSTRIES AND SKILLS
EXHIBITION.
Chring: And to set off this noteworthy event, let us all stand for the entrance of the
colors of Kabasalan National High School Boyscouts of the Philippines, to be followed
by the singing of the National Anthem and an invocation to be led by KNHS Chorale.

Edz: Please remain standing for the singing of the Regional Hymn and Zamboanga
Sibugay Hymn via multimedia presentation.

Edz: You may all be seated. Moving on, let us witness an opening salvo showcasing
tri-culture dance. Let’s give it up to the Alab Dance Troupe!

Chring: It was just amazing! Thank you, Alab Dance Troupe! At this juncture, let us
all hear from our ever-supportive Municipal Mayor of Kabasalan, Hon. Katrina C.
Balladares, as she welcomes us in this remarkable event. A hand, please.
Edz: Thank you Mayor Balladares for that very warm welcome. At this moment, let us
once again be entertained by an intermission number to be performed by Bunahis
Dance Troupe. A big round of applause please/ let’s cheer for them please.
Chring: That was awesome! Thank you, Bunahis Dance Troupe! At this point, let me
call in our very own, Schools Division Superintendent of Zamboanga Sibugay, Dr.
Virgilio P. Batan, Jr.,CESO VI for his opening message. Let us give him a
warm round of applause, please.
Edz: Thank you, Sir. This time, put your hands together once again for the Alab Dance
Troupe performers!
Chring: That was impressive! Thank you once again, Alab Dance Troupe! Moving on,
let us amiably welcome our very own Regional Director, Dr. Ruth L. Fuentes,
CESO IV for her message. A hand, please.
Edz: Thank you, Ma’am for that very inspiring message. At this juncture, let me call in
Dr. Eugenio B. Penales, Chief Education Supervisor of the Curriculum and
Learning Management Division for the Presentation of RFOT Categories and
Event Coordinators. A round of applause, please.
Chring: Thank you, Sir Eugene. At this point, let us witness another Intermission
Number from Special Program in Foreign Language Lingo Stars Mandarin
Performer-Sheena I. Torralba of Zamboanga National High School-West. Let
us give her a big hand, please.
Edz: That was wonderful! This time ladies and gentlemen, let us witness the hoisting
of banners, may we request the representative of each schools division to please
prepare..
Chring: Starting off with:

intermission number from the Special Program in Foreign Language Lingo Stars
Spanish (with the) Performer-Kassandra Rich H. Fernandez of Don Pablo
Lorenzo Memorial High School. Let us give her a big hand, please.
Chring: Thank you, Ms. Kassandra! At this point, to formally open this three-day
Regional Festival of Talents 2023, once again let us call on stage our very own
Regional Director, Dr. Ruth L. Fuentes. A big round of applause, please.
Edz: Thank you so much, Ma’am! Now that this event is finally declared open, may I
request Sir Jessmer Famadico, Head Teacher IV of KNHS TLE Department for
some important announcement.
Chring: Thank you so much, Sir! Before we will end this program, let us have all ears
to no less than the Assistant Schools Division Superintendent of Zamboanga
Sibugay, Dr. Aurelio A. Santisas, CESE as he delivers his closing remarks. A
