If the "standing lamp On " signal is still active, a chime
is triggered via the instrument cluster (A1) when the
transmitter key is removed and the driver-side door is
open.
On vehicles with code (550) trailer hitch, the
"standing lamp On" signal is transmitted from the driver-
side SAM control unit with fuse and relay module
(N10/1) to the trailer connection unit [AAG] control unit
(N28/1) which applies the "standing lamp On" signal to
the 13-pin trailer hitch socket (X58).

Operating procedure Right parking light ON

The driver-side SAM control unit with fuse and relay
module (N10/1) reads in the position of the exterior
lamp switch (S1) discretely and forwards the
corresponding message left parking lamp or right
parking lamp to the rear SAM control unit with
fuse and relay module (N10/2).
Left parking lamp ON
The driver-side SAM control unit with fuse and relay
module (N10/1) actuates the left standing and parking
lamp (E1e3) in the left front headlamp unit and
simultaneously transmits "Left parking lamp On" via
CAN class B.
Via the rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay
module (N10/2) the outer left taillamp, parking lamp,
rear fog lamp (E3e2) (model 211.0) or left stop lamp,
taillamp and parking lamp (model 211.2) rear is
The front passenger SAM control unit (N10/11) and rear
SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2)
receives the "parking lamp On" signal from the driver-
side SAM control unit with fuse and relay module
(N10/1) via CAN class B. As a result the right standing
and parking lamp (E2e3) in the right front headlamp unit
and the outer right taillamp, parking lamp, rear fog lamp
(E4e2) (model 211.0) or rear right stop lamp, taillamp
and parking lamp (model 211.2) is actuated.
On vehicles with code (550) trailer hitch the "left
parking lamp On" or "right parking lamp On" signal is
transmitted from the driver-side SAM control unit with
fuse and relay module (N10/1) to the trailer connection
unit [AAG] control unit (N28/1) which applies the "left
parking lamp On" or "Right parking lamp On" to the
trailer hitch socket, 13-pin (X58).
