• Other certificates will be evaluated by the appointed evaluation Committee.
Expemption requirements to meet language requirements:
• Evidence of attendance in the frame of any exchange cultural programme for at least 1 school
semester, where teaching activities were English taught;
• English mother tongue.
In the academic year 2023/2024 there are 90 available places allocated as follows:
➢ 50 places for Italian citizens, EU citizens and NON-EU citizens with equivalent status;
➢ 40 posti for NON-EU citizens (international students).

If positions reserved to NON-EU candidates are not fully covered, the same number of places will be
transferred to EU and NON-EU citizens with equivalent status for the same academic year.
If positions for the international curriculum are not fully covered (90 total), the remaining places will be
transferred to the curriculum Economics of Tourism (Italian-taught), where admissions are regulated by
another call for applications.
Candidates can apply in three different intakes. Quota reserved for each intake:

2. APPLICATION PROCEDURE
2.1. Italian citizens, EU citizens, non-EU citizens with equivalent status
Iscriviti su Studenti Online (www.studenti.unibo.it) entro le scadenze previste nel Calendario Generale,
seguendo i passaggi indicati di seguito.
• Login on Studenti Online (www.studenti.unibo.it) using your SPID identity. The system will select your
personal data automatically and it will create your new access credentials
(name.surname@studio.unibo.it).
If you are an international student without an Italian ID, you can access with Unibo account. You need
to register first on www.studenti.unibo.it select “Register”, then “Registration international students”.
o Select the degree programme “INTERNATIONAL TOURISM AND LEISURE INDUSTRIES (ITALI) -
TOURISM ECONOMICS (COD. CORSO 8847)”.
1) Curriculum Vitae in English language (please use the file “Annex 2 - CV Template” attached to this
call for applications);
2) The transcript of records translated in Italian or English (self-certificate for Italian qualifications),
with final grades achieved in all school topics in your last (or second to last of secondary school in
case of pending diploma), with relevance to Mathematics;
3) motivation letter (max 2000 characters) where the candidate is detailing the reason for studying in
the programme;
4) A copy of a valid identity document* (ID card, or passport).

6) Diploma statement (annex 2) with: personal details of the candidate, qualification achieved (to be
specified whether or not it has been achieved already), GPA and grading evaluation scale of the
country where the qualification has been achieved (for ex. The Italian grading scale is out of ten).
a) SAT test or TOLC-E test results (both Italian or English version) to evaluate quantitative
competences (Mathematics). Results shall be available within the deadline of the Intake in which the
candidate is applying.
b) copy of residence permit (or post office receipt), when available in order to evaluate the
equivalent status to EU citizenship;
Pay application fees for the amount of € 50,00 following instructions on Studenti Online
(www.studenti.unibo.it). This amount cannot be reimbursed.
The application is valid upon payment of application fees.

2.2. Non-UE citizens residing abroad and non-UE citizens residing abroad in the quota of EU candidates
If you are non-UE citizen residing abroad or non-UE citizen residing abroad competing in the list of EU
candidates, you must follow previous steps in paragraph 2.1.
In addition to that, according to procedures stated in the MUR circular of the Ministry of University and
Research (MUR), published around March-June 2023 online www.studiare-in-italia.it/studentistranieri/ you
have to:

If you are a non-UE citizen with residence permit for study reason and you officially quit your studies at any
University, you lose any right to stay in Italy and the residence permit will be invalid. In that case you need
to go back to your original country and start pre-enrolment procedure via Universitaly again, within the
annual deadline stated annually and published obnline www.studiare-in-italia.it/studentistranieri/.
3. SKILL ASSESSMENT
A Scientific Committee with at least three members, will evaluate the applicants’ dossier and will assign
points according to the following evaluation criteria
• School merit (quality of the diploma of secondary education, grades achieved in every subject and
final grade, with relevance to quantitative subjects, up to 20 points based on Maths results, and 10
points for evidence of proficiency in English language), max 70 points;
• motivation (quality and effectiveness of personal statement), max 15 points;
• international experience or relevant extra school activities, during the secondary school years and
in the two more years after finishing secondary school (to be considered in CV and other optional
documents), max 15 points.
Skill assessments are valid with a score equal to, or higher than, 60/100.
All accepted students must prove good command of mathematics, thus must sit a test in Mathematics, to
detect possible lacks in the subject. The additional learning requirement test will take place during the
second week of October 2023 and consists of 13 questions, multiple answers; the test is passed with a
score equal or higher than 3.5 (1 point right answer and -0.25 wrong answer). Should a student fail the
Math test he/she will receive an additional learning requirement (also known as OFA), to be fulfilled by
passing Mathematics exam or the specific OFA test, within the deadline set by the Degree Programme
Board. The deadlines will be available online. Students who receive the OFA in the academic year
2023/2024, will be enrolled in the second year (a.y. 2024/2025) under condition, until they fulfill the OFA
test by the latest deadline, March 31, 2025; students who fail to pass the OFA by then, will repeat the first
year.
Students with a TOLC-E certification (scored equal or higher than 3,5 in the Math section) and students with
SAT test (scored equal or higher than 400 in Math) have met the additional learning requirement (OFA
TEST).
4. RANKING LIST
The ranking list (out of 100 points) for each quota will be ready after each intake. Ranking list is based
exclusively on merit requirements of each applicant. Candidates are placed in decrescent order. In case of
equal score, the younger will precede.

The ranking list of previous intakes is not relevant for the following one. Each selection intake is
independent from the others.
Ranking list will display:
WINNER: with your score you can proceed with matriculation (enrolment) and you are in the list of
available places. You can secure your place and finalise the enrolment procedure according to General
Timeline (above).
ELIGIBLE: with your score you are accepted under condition there are places left. You can request to be
placed in waiting list according to General Timeline (request to be considered for available places).
NOT ELIGIBLE: you have not reached the minimum score required for the admission.
If you are eligible you can declare your interest in being considered in case some of the winners is not
finalizing their enrolment. To do so, you have to:
1. login on www.studenti.unibo.it with your username e password;
2. declare you are interested in available places, click the dedicated bottom, after the ranking list is
published;
3. check your request on Studenti Online in your profile for the request of admission. Once you click “I
wish to be considered for available places” the system will display the date of your request and the
receipt of the submitted request.
Recovery procedure is not automatic, candidates not requesting to be considered will be deleted from
the ranking list, according to General Timeline.
The updated ranking list will be available online on Studenti Online, www.studenti.unibo.it as sole legal
notification according to General Timeline.
Eligible candidates will have to enroll according to enrolment procedure stated in section 5– ENROLMENT
of this call for applications within the deadline stated in the General Timeline.
The ranking list will be available within the day stated in the General Timeline on www.studenti.unibo.it,
which represents the only legal and official notification.
5. ENROLMENT PROCEDURE
If you are a winner in the ranking list, you can finalise the enrolment procedure within the deadlines stated
in the General Timeline.
If you have not received your diploma yet, check on Studenti Online (www.studenti.unibo.it) the following
steps.

If you are transferring from another University or in case of change of degree programme within the
University of Bologna, follow instruction stated in paragraphs 5.2 or 5.3.
If you are requesting the recognition of previous activities: after your enrolment and within the deadlines
stated by the appointed Academic Bodies, you have to provide the specific form to the Student
Administration Service to be downloaded here www.unibo.it/it/didattica/iscrizioni-trasferimenti-e-
laurea/abbreviazione-di-corso, according to the rules stated of the above mentioned web page.
• Select “ENROLMENT”, select “FIRST CYCLE DEGREE PROGRAMME” then “INTERNATIONAL TOURISM
AND LEISURE INDUSTRIES” (ITALI) DEL CORSO TOURISM ECONOMICS (COD. CORSO 8847)”, submit
requested data, attach a picture of your face in badge size; in case of false declarations you are legally
punishable according to art. 496 del of penal code, you lose any right to enrolment and to any benefit
so far received, without any right to reimbursement;
• Pay the first installment or alternatively the single installment, according to instructions stated online
Studenti Online (www.studenti.unibo.it). Should you miss the payment, you will be excluded from the
selection procedure. No delay in payment will be accepted;
o If you have enrolled with SPID: after providing payment your career is active, without further
duties from your side, unless you are in one of the below mentioned cases;
o If you have enrolled with username e password: you have to proceed with identification
according to instructions you will find in details under enrolment procedure on Studenti
Online.
The student career must be activated within 29 February 2024, or the enrolment will be null and void.
Once the student career is active you can start using any facility like access to study plan, booking an
exam, access to Wi-Fi and to library resources, do any administrative activity (change your degree
programme, transfer to another University, quit your studies); you will receive an email with
instruction to print out your student card.

If you are in one of the following conditions, check the steps to activate your student career:
o Students with disabilities with recognised invalidity of at least 66%, and those whose disability
is recognised by law 104/92, you need to provide the official certificate to the Administrative
Sutdent Office (more details: https://www.unibo.it/en/services-and-opportunities/study-
grants-and-subsidies/exemptions-and-incentives/exemptions-for-disabled-students).
o If you have a previous university career and want to recognize it: after enrolment and withing
deadlines stated by the Academic Bodies, you have to provide the form to be downloaded
here https://www.unibo.it/en/teaching/enrolment-transfer-and-final-examination/shortening-
of-the-degree-programme, the Student Administrative Office according to the rules stated in
the same web page;
o If you are a non-UE citizen with equivalent status with an Italian qualification: you have to
provide the International Desk of the Campus of Rimini the copy of your valid residence
permit;
o If you are a non-UE citizen resident abroad: you have to check all details online
https://www.unibo.it/en/teaching/enrolment-transfer-and-final-examination/non-eu-
students-with-residency-abroad-reserved-quotas-pre-enrolment-visas-and-italian-language-
tests, login on Studenti Online (www.studenti.unibo.it), select “CALL FOR APPLICATIONS”,
select “Enrolment a.y. 23_24 – upload documents for international students with qualification
abroad” and upload: copy of your valid residence permit or, if not ready yet, copy of the visa
for study reason and when ready copy of the post office receipt about your request (in that
case you will be enrolled under condition);
• pay first installment or single installment according to terms and conditions stated online Studenti
Online (www.studenti.unibo.it);
• submit your request of transfer from the original University within deadlines.
The University career at University of Bologna will be active only when the Degree programme Board will
confirm your acceptance.
You can continue your learning activities at the original University until the delivery of the transferring request.
Upon receipt of the documents from the original University, the Student Administrative Office will notify
the payment of transfer fees.
5.3. How to enrol in case of change from a degree programme of the University of Bologna
If you are enrolled in a degree programme of the University of Bologna and you want to change to another
programme, within deadline stated in General Timeline you have to:
• pay first installment or single installment according to terms and conditions stated online Studenti
Online (www.studenti.unibo.it);
• starting 27/07/2022 and no later than 22/09/2022, submit your degree programme change
request on Studenti Online (www.studenti.unibo.it):
The new career will be active only after the approval of recognitzion from the Degree Programme Board.
You can continue with learning activities in your original programme until you finalize the online application
for the change.
5.3.2 Thirds selection
If you are enrolled in a degree programme of the University of Bologna and want to transfer, within the
deadlines stated in the General Timeline, you have to:

• Login on Studenti Online (www.studenti.unibo.it), with your SPID or with username
(name.surname@studio.unibo.it) and password you received upon registration;
• pay first installment or single installment according to terms and conditions stated online Studenti
Online (www.studenti.unibo.it);
The new career will be active only after the approval of recognitzion from the Degree Programme Board.
You can continue with learning activities in your original programme until you finalize the online application
for the transfer.
If you miss to submit ISEE the fees will be considered for the maximum rate of the degree programme.

If you are enrolled to any other programme, before submitting any request of transferring or changing
check full details about benefits stated in the call for applications available online www.er-go.it, because
benefits will be considered starting from your first enrolment at the university and you could lose some
benefits.
Students with disabilities with recognised invalidity of at least 66%, and those whose disability is
recognised by law 104/92 must send a certificate attesting your condition by e-mail to the student
administration office of the Campus of Rimini (more information: https://www.unibo.it/it/servizi-e-
opportunita/borse-di-studio-e-agevolazioni/esoneri-e-incentivi/esenzioni-per-studenti-con-disabilita).

6. SUMARIZE OF MAIN STEPS
1. REGISTER ON STUDENTI ON LINE
Login Studenti Online (www.studenti.unibo.it) with your SPID, and the system will find automatically your
personal data. At the end of the procedure you will receive a new Unibo account
(name.surname@studio.unibo.it).
If you are an international student without an Italian document, you can receive new account after
registering online here www.studenti.unibo.it.
• Select the name of the degree programme you have on the call for applications;
4. ENROL
If you are a WINNER, you still have to secure your place within the deadline stated in the General Timeline.
If you only fill in the enrolment request, without paying within due date, you will be excluded from the
admission procedure.
FINAL NOTE
Notifications about the call for applications will be available online (www.studenti.unibo.it).
Any information about treatment of personal data is online www.unibo.it/PrivacyBandiCds.
Against the call for application you have 60 days from the release of the document to complaint in front of
the Administrative Regional Court.
