• 5 V DC Power Supply (A)
• LDR (B)
• 10 kΩ resistor (C)
• 470 Ω resistor [LED protector]
• LED (D)
• BC107 transistor (E) NPN
COMPETENCE:
a) Selecting the correct components.
b) Constructing a circuit from schematic diagram
c) Observing component behavior; voltage drops and functioning of entire circuit
d) Voltage divider application.
e) Reading Transistor data sheet

PROCEDURE:

1. With power OFF, measure LDR resistance with light (uncovered) and also without
light (covered), Record in Table 3.
2. Construct the circuit below. Power Off.

3. Turn power ON. Measure voltage drop across C, B, & D. Record in Table 3. Is LED
ON or OFF? OFF or DIM
