Nozzle shuts off

immediately after
opening flow handle
a. Tank is already full Allow nozzle to shut off
automatically. Disconnect
nozzle and terminate
refueling operation.
b. Jet-sensor hoses have not
been primed following
installation or reinstallation.
Hold fuel nozzle open
manually until hoses are
primed and the nozzle
remains open unassisted
(may take 10 to 30 seconds).

Manual Priming Procedure:

a. Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment for accidental fuel splash. Use a
bucket or other container to catch dripping fuel, and have rags available for
cleanup.
b. Switch the fuel pump on. While holding the nozzle handle open and taking
appropriate care to minimize fuel-spray, slightly loosen the 1/4” hose connector
nut on the 1/4” jet-sensor return hose where it is attached to the 1/4” return port
on the JNX shutoff valve. Once escaping fuel is relatively free of air bubbles,
retighten the 1/4” nut.
c. Priming is now complete and the system should achieve steady flow during all
subsequent fueling operations.
6. Check for leakage from the nozzle/nipple connection. If any leak is observed, shut
the nozzle off by rotating the nozzle flow handle down to the closed position. Switch
off the fuel pump. Disconnect the nozzle by retracting the actuating ring and pulling
it away from the nipple. Arrange for the leaking part(s) to be repaired or replaced.
7. When the fuel tank is full, the JNX receiver will shut off automatically. This will also
trigger the nozzle to shut off automatically, as indicated by the movement of the
nozzle flow handle to the “off” position. If the nozzle shuts off prematurely, or fails
to shut off at all, consult your local Wiggins distributor immediately for assistance.
8. Ensure that the nozzle flow handle is locked in the “OFF” position. Remove the
nozzle from the nipple by retracting the nozzle actuating ring and pulling the nozzle
away from the nipple. Replace the nozzle dust plug and nipple dust cap.
9. Report any wear, damage or leakage or other issues to the appropriate parties to
minimize future problems and safety issues.

Minimum Flow Rate: 75 lpm (20 gpm)

Maximum Flow Rate: 800 lpm (211 gpm) with standard JNX-02 inlet nipple
1,000 lpm (264 gpm) with JN3A inlet nipple
Maximum Working Pressure: 125 psi
