Need

The excessive use of computers for economic and social development has created a need for
the skilled workers in the field of management. PVTC has therefore introduced “Computer
Operator” trade to enable the trainees to acquire appropriate skills to earn their living in this
field.

Objective

To prepare and train students, and enable them through skill training to earn their living in the
field of computers.

Skill Requirements
After completing this course, the pass out will be able to:
Operate the computer and run software packages.
Install Software (Application & System)
Work within Windows 10 environment.
Enter data at a typing of 30 or 40 words per minutes.
Create, edit, format and print document using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Inpage
packages.
Attach multimedia with computer.
Work in a network environment.
Retrieve information from the Internet.
Send and receive massages through E-mail.
Scan, Fax and photocopy office document using respective equipment Write CDs and DVDs.
Email management using Outlook.
Urdu documentation using inpage.

Knowledge Requirements
After the completion of course the pass out Would have knowledge of.
Computer configurations and general working of a CPU, input, output and storage Devices.
Software devices.
Software Installation.
Basic functions of window 10.
Creating formal documents using word, Excel, PowerPoint and Inpage application.
Internet surfing.
E-mail and file attachment (test & Video).
Single / Multi user environment concept.
Different types of networks& network cabling.
Office automation equipment handling & usage
Email management using Outlook
Urdu documentation using Inpage

Instructor -BCS (4 years/MCS/MIT/M.Sc. IT (2 years)/ BSCS (4 years)/BS-IT(4 years)/BS-

Telecommunication(4 years)/B.Sc. Computer Engineering(4 years)/B.Sc Software Engineering (4
years) from recognized university held after 16 years of education with 1 year of post
qualification experience in relevant field.
Lab Assistant - Matriculation with 1 year trade certificate in the relevant field from a
recognized institute with one year of post qualification experience in relevant field or pass-out
of PVTC with no experience in relevant with no experience required.
