This diagram is based on the fault level provided in the coordination study received.
For determining electro dynamic stress, the value of peak current shall be obtained by multiplying the
RMS value of AC application short circuit current by factor “n”. Factor “n” shall be obtained from below
table.

Conclusion:
As validated from the above details and back up chart, the combination of XT5 MCCB with electronic trip
unit suitably selected with prospective fault level in the point of installation (selective main circuit breaker)
as upstream, with S200 series 32 Amp MCB 10kA as downstream, the backup protection is available up to
20kA.
Hence the MCCB limiting characteristics and back up protection shall work safely for the above
installation.
