My initial approach was pretty straightforward. But after the first few assignments, I learned a couple of different things that changed my
approach. One was that this was going to be more time-consuming than I originally thought and not all products, even if similar in scope, would
require the same amount of time. After I started working on my original project plan, I realized that I actually needed to go in and review each
product before making assumptions of what would be required to complete the product. The other thing I learned is even though I may
understand the role of a project manager and the concepts associated with it, actually applying those concepts in a project is entirely different
than observing the tasks from outside the role.

This session also, unfortunately, forced me to handle a contingency that I was not ready for and no amount of planning will every truly allow
someone to prepare for it. I had planned on using the week of Thanksgiving as a week to complete all of my coursework and finish the course
early. Instead, I spent the week dealing with putting a loved one on hospice and all of the moving pieces that go along with it. I have had to
actively change and adapt my schedule after returning home to resolve all of the tasks that were missed in my personal life as well as the
products that I missed for the course. This took a lot of schedule manipulation and finding every spare minute possible.

All in all, I feel that I learned a lot of real-world applications and ways to approach items in my academic career, my career, and my personal life.
One of many aspects that I will take with me going forward is the project plan and utilizing it like the attached document. I might not include all
of the fields but definitely the product, task, subtask and a ballpark of how much time I expect to spend on it. I still haven't quite mastered the
fact that I am not as fast as I like to think I am but that will hopefully come with time.
