DIVERSITY SCENARIOS

A. QUESTIONS

1. Discuss on diversity in general, touching on what is diversity, challenges around diversity at workplaces,
available diversity training programmes in South Africa, etc.
2. Diversity Scenarios
2.1 Choose one of the five diversity scenarios provided (See attached scenarios.)
2.2 Prepare a power point presentation to discuss diversity in general, challenges, the scenario, issues
& solutions
2.3 Prepare a 10 minutes audio (recording) to discuss the scenario, issues & solutions
NB: Submit a detailed Presentation

B. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

▪ Complete the assessment and submit in a typed format.

▪ Complete a cover page containing the following information: your initials, surname, student number, the
title: “Assessment 2: Presentation 1”, name of subject and the date on which you submit the
assessment.
▪ Introduction, conclusion, table of contents and list of references are important to the assignment
▪ Sources/references should not be more than 10 years old (severe penalty will be applied)
 ▪ Use the Harvard referencing method and ensure that all shortened references in the body of the text
have full citations in the “Reference list/Bibliography”.
▪ If you have used a news paper article, attach a copies of the article used.
▪ 1½ line spacing, Arial, 12
▪ Justify your work
▪ 5 members per group

C. ASSESSMENT INFORMATION
Marks will be allocated for originality, quality, proper referencing, presentation skills etc. Assessment 2:
Presentation 1 will count 20% towards your (module) final mark respectively.
