Dear Ricardo,

The usability test that we conducted yesterday was a big success with little to no issues with the users
being able to execute the instruction steps. I have also issued a memo that goes into a little more detail
to the company if you would like to take the time to look at it.

Slight Tweaks Need

We made sure to document the verbal information that the readers provided to us throughout the test
along with having them answer a few questions at the end. Through doing this usability test we did
notice two main issues with the instructions. The first and biggest issue being that the steps go left to
right on the first page of the document. Then on the next page when the document continues, we have
the steps going top to bottom on the left side of the page then it continues on the right side of the page
going top to bottom. This change in formatting can cause the reader to naturally skip to a different step.
The next issue that we had was the clear white space between the 1 st and 2nd page.

Key Questions
The 5 questions that were asked all had similarly collected data as well. For the first question it was if the
images complemented the steps all readers agreed they did. The next question was if the steps were
easily distinguishable with all readers saying they were but, as previously stated, should have been
organized differently. The 3rd question asking if the beginning sentence was necessary, all readers said it
was not but helped to draw people in. The 4 th question was if the readers thought the movements felt
awkward or if they were smooth. All readers said they were smooth it was just getting the coordination
down. The final question was how long the steps took with it taking an average of 2 minutes per person.

To Summarize
After gathering all the data collected from the usability test it can be determined that the user would
strongly agree that they are able to successfully execute the steps of the floss dance with little to no
issues. The biggest roadblock being coordination and practice. Experience also affects the outcome to
these instructions as well. Though they would not be the target audience for this walkthrough.

Sincerely,

Adam Pearson
