SPECIAL PROGRAM FOR JOURNALISM

Partnerships/Linkages

The school has established collaboration with various stakeholders in order to realize the goals of the
Special Program for Journalism (SPJ). The following institutions/entities have been identified and
have expressed their intention to partner with the school in the implementation of the SPJ:

1. The school has just renewed its partnership with Tugbok Central Elementary School -
SPED Center as the main feeder institution for Mintal Comprehensive High School with it
being the pilot school for the implementation of the SPJ in the elementary level. TCESSC will
also collaborate with the school in terms of providing training sessions for both students and
faculty.

2. E-HIVE IT Services, a computer/digital goods company in Roxas Avenue, has expressed its
desire to provide some computer equipment/parts and upgrades to current computer units by
the school publication as part of their corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives.

3. Some anchors and writers of the People's Television (PTV) Network, with their local
station/office in Bangkal, Davao City, reached out to the school publication/SPJ coordinator
for provision of resource speakers for broadcasting training sessions and for possible use of
their radio station and TV studio for immersion/exposure of SPJ students.

4. The Feast Davao, through the Light of Jesus (LOJ) Family founded by acclaimed author
and motivational speaker, Bro. Bo Sanchez, has pledged to be one of our providers of
psychosocial and spiritual support through retreats, youth conferences and other workshops.
Their creatives, media and production ministries have also expressed their intention to extend
their mentoring and consultancy efforts to the school's SPJ learners and faculty.

These are just some of the stakeholders that have engaged in close contact with the SPJ and its
coordinator and has provided/will provide tangible and non-tangible resources for the benefit of our
SPJ learners and the implementation of the program. Hopefully, the collaboration among these
stakeholders and the school shall propel the development of the SPJ and the realization of the school's
vision for it to be the premier SPJ implementer and provider in the country.
