ANTI-CORRUPTION DAY

Dear guests,

As previously mentioned, World Anti-Corruption Day is celebrated every 9
December. This day is celebrated with the aim of educating the public about corruption
which is an act of damaging economic and social development in a country. In
Indonesia itself, there are many cases of corruption that ensnare ministers, officials,
businessmen, and others. In 2020 alone, there have been at least 1,218 corruption
cases tried at the Corruption Court and the Supreme Court. This action certainly has or
will harm the state and society. There are several impacts, namely it can slow down the
country's economic growth, increase income inequality, increase poverty, and of course
there are many other impacts. It can be said that there is no positive impact from this
action except for corruptors who will spend a lot of time buying luxury goods and
building magnificent houses. Therefore this very unjustified act should be avoided.

Dear guests,

Let's go forward together against corruption to save our country!
Finally, if there are errors in the delivery of words, I apologize profusely and don't forget
to say thank you very much for all your attention. Wabillahiwaufiq wal hidayah,
wassalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.

ANTI CORRUPTION

happy guests,

Corruption is a political, social and economic phenomenon whose impact affects entire
countries. The impact of corruption itself is that it can damage democratic institutions,
participate in destabilizing the government, and slow down economic development. This
action can attack the foundations of democratic institutions by distorting the electoral
process, violating the law, and creating bureaucratic problems, namely
bribery. Economic development will also be hampered because foreign investment is
discouraged, while the domestic economy will find it impossible to cope with the costs of
the corrupted initial budget.

happy guests,

Because there are so many cases of corruption that occur in many countries too, finally
on October 1, 2003 the General Assembly agreed to the United Nations Convention
against corruption and appointed the United Nations Office on Drugs and
Crime (UNODC). The general meeting finally set December 9 as the World Anti-
Corruption Day which aims to raise public awareness of the disadvantages of
corruption.
Let's all rise up to fight corruption!
Because the ambition of corruptors to corrupt can make the people malnourished,
development will not be realized immediately, and economic growth will not be
overcome!
That's all I can say to the audience.
Sorry if there are words that may not be pleasing to the heart and thank you very much
for your attention.
