Note:
1. The steps below may change based on type of the problem/bug, always consult local HiOS
before collecting a log for any problem
2. The Screen recording or the video of the problem is very important for developers, it can
assist them to locate the problem. So, when taking a log, try to start a screen recording/video
at the beginning
3. To make easier to download log & video you send to us, put log (one link) and video (one
link) into a link using Wetransfer (https://wetransfer.com/ )
4. In case of challenge, always feel free to ask for help
Note: You can as well share log file & screen recording video file via WhatsApp if they
are not big in size. But if they are big in size kindly follow step 3 & 4 above
Steps of getting a log
1. Enter settings>>My Phone>>scroll down to “build number”>>Click build number for 7 times
2. Enter Dial panel>>input *#9646633#>>swipe until you see “DebugLoggerUI”>>Open
DebugLoggerUI. And then click on the start button at the mid-bottom. Start screen
recording also
3. Reproduce the problem/bug for at least 3 minutes. Then after 3 minutes, go to the dial panel
and input *#9646633#, swipe to right until you see log and debugging, and switch off the
record button in DebugLoggerUI. Stop screen recording also
6. Enter the extracted file, double click to open “LogEXportTool”, ensure phone is connected to
PC and it shows it is “online”. Click the “start/start” All button and wait for it until it gets to
100%. Then click on export to view the log you pulled., send log & video record together
with other phone detail as shown in no.7 via WhatsApp
7. While
sending logs & video for phone problem ensure you list below details in your message
