LEARNING OUTLINE
Pre-lesson:-
1. Pupils talk about the topic with guidance.
2. Pupils listen to teacher’s explanation and the connection with the topic.
Activities:-
1. Teacher guides the pupils to regroup, start from ones to tens. Teacher emphasizes on regrouping when
the the total of ones is or more than ten
2. Pupils carry out activity of addition using basic blocks and abacus, as shown on page 51 and 52,
textbook (HOTS)
3. Teacher guides the pupils to do addition using various methods such as basic blocks and abacus
4. Pupils carry out many activities involving mental calculations
5. Teacher divides the pupils into pairs. Each pair gets different question cards. Pupils discuss and solve
the questions using basic blocks and abacus (21st CA)
6. Pupils present their works in front of class (21st CA)
7. Pupils answer questions in the exercise book

4. With guidance, pupils use representative such as colored chips and abacus
5. Teacher divides the pupils into groups
6. Each group gets cross number card. Pupils answers cross number based on the given questions (21st
CA)
7. With guidance, pupils use simple case to solve the problem involving unknown. Pupils answer the
questions within the given time (CBA
