Abstract
An abstract is a brief or condensed statement by the writer, or the essential ideas of the
writer’s work. The abstract must not exceed 600 words in length and should include
statement of the problem, an explanation of the methods and procedures used in
gathering data, and a summary of the findings. It should not be just a summary
statement of each chapter.

Acknowledgement
In the “Acknowledgement” page, the writer recognizes his indebtedness for guidance
and assistance of the project adviser and other members of the faculty. Courtesy
demands that he also recognize specific contributions by other persons or institutions
such as libraries and research foundations. Acknowledgement should be duly signed
above the student’s name. E-mail id should also be specified at the end.

Guidelines for project report writing


Good quality white A4 size bond paper should be used for typing.

Page Specification
Left Margin: 3.5 cms
Right Margin: 3.0 cms
Top Margin: 2.54 cms/ 1 inch
Bottom Margin: 2.54 cms/ 1 inch
Page numbers –
1. Title page should not be numbered.
2. Numbering will start from declaration till contents starting from (ii)
3. All remaining pages should be numbered at the bottom center of the pages
starting from (1).
4. Separate page should specify chapter number and chapter name and should
NOT be numbered.
Title : 24, Times New Roman, Bold, Center aligned
Normal Body Text:
Font Size: 12, Times New Roman, 1.5 Line spacing, single side writing
Paragraph Heading Font Size: 14, Times New Roman, Bold, Justified
NOTE:
1. The final hardbound report should be printed on Bond paper. There should be one
copy for the guide, one for the Institute, and one copy for each student.
2. The color of the hard bound file should be Blue with golden color engrossing on
the front page.
3. The size of the appendix should not be more than one fourth of the total size of
thesis.
4. The name of the table should be mentioned above the table and name of the figure
should be mentioned below the figure.
5. Spiral Bound project report should be checked and signed by corresponding
guide and coordinator before printing the final hardbound report.
