Biography
Hedy Lamarr was born in Austria, the
daughter of an upper-class Jewish family.
She demonstrated an early capacity for the
arts and languages, enrolling at the age of
sixteen in a performing arts school in Berlin.
Gradually, she moved up the film
career ladder, becoming world
famous with her appearance in
"Ecstasy", the first woman to
appear nude in a commercial film
It was because of this film that
Friedrich Mandl (a tycoon who came
to Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini
from munitions, fighter planes and
control systems) made a marriage
of convenience, thus marrying
Hedy. In their marriage, he kept her
locked up at home.

 Biography

During the time she was confined by

her husband, she continued her
studies in engineering and managed
to obtain information on the
weapons technology of the time,
which she would offer to the United
States for the Second World War.

She managed to escape from her

husband and go to Paris, and then to the
United States, where she and George
Antheil developed a patent for a radio
guidance system for Allied torpedoes that
used spread spectrum and frequency
hopping technology . She cooperating
with the American government to create
military weapons and overthrow the Nazi
regime.
