HRP
hermetic refrigerant pump
Check the approved dimensions of the suction line.
Installation Align the HRP 3232, 5050-90 and 8050-90 exactly vertically.
Align the HRP 5040 to 10080 up to 40bar exactly horizontally.
Connect the pump stress-free. Do not use the flange screws to align or stretch the
piping.
Connect the cables with a loop (see photos on the back).

The overload protection device must always be connected.

Safety devices Connect the temperature protection (PTC) at terminals 1 and 2 to the INT69.
A differential pressure switch is recommended. The time delay should be set to 30s.

The shut-off valve in the suction line must be open during standstill, in order to allow
Venting the pump to vent. If this is not possible, a vent line must be installed.
For horizontal HRP models in CO2 refrigeration systems, as well as when the suction
shut-off valve is closed during standstill, one degassing line per refrigerant pump must
always be installed upstream of the pressure-side non-return valve. (see separate
WITT information).

In CO2 refrigeration systems, a permanently open minimum flow line is required if the
Minimum flow line control system permits operation against closed or heavily throttled evaporators (see
separate WITT information).
For all other refrigerants, a differential set overflow valve has proven effective.

Provide sufficient time for the refrigerant pump to cool down / vent so that the
Commissioning evaporating temperature T0 is approximately reached.
Check the proper direction of rotation of the refrigerant pump.
Check the settings of the differential pressure Pressostat and minimum flow line.

Clean the conical filter after 2 weeks after commissioning at the latest and then at
Operation regular intervals, depending on the degree of contamination.
If the refrigerant pump has been switched off by a safety device, the cause must be
identified and documented before restarting.

The control system should include a warning and switch off the refrigerant pump if the
refrigerant level in the separator falls below the minimum level (see page 2).
Control system Do not switch the refrigerant pump on and off frequently. Observe a minimum running
time of 5 minutes.
Allow sufficient venting time after switching off the refrigerant pump (20 min for CO 2
refrigeration systems without vent line, approx. 5 minutes in all other cases).
The maximum pressure lowering rate in the separator should not exceed a value of
2K/Min!
Do not use frequency converters below 40 Hz to ensure that the minimum volume flow
Frequency converters is maintained.
Select a steep start-up/shut-down ramp so that the check valve in the discharge line
opens quickly enough (a setting of 1 sec. has been proven).
The orifice in CO2 refrigeration systems must be designed for the max. possible
frequency.

HINWEIS

The quick start guide is not a substitute for the operating manual.
It is essential to observe the complete operating manual for installation and commissioning.
