MARS Model of Individual Behavior determines the individual behavior and their results or

outcomes. This model implemented the variety of situation where in behavior of one’s self is the main

topic.

Our task is to choose three (3) behavior in the MARS Model of Individual Behavior. I choose the

main behavior which are Motivation, Ability and Role Perception.

The first one is Motivation. What motivates us in pursuing our services is whenever our

costumers appreciate our services. We are motivated to go to work because we know that our services are

needed and appreciated by our customers. When it comes to working environment, colleagues should be

in unity in order for us to work according to the customers preference and needs. We need to act as one.

We should also motivate each other specially the new ones in the field of services to lessen the burdens in

working with them.

There’s a scenario when I needed to be guided during my shift. Since I am a new in that

establishment they guided me on my first day of work so that I may not be a burden to them in the near

future. After helping me they continue to focused on their given task.

Another scenario is that when we get scolded or we do something wrong in our workplace or a

costumer’s complaint, those mistakes will be our motivation to do more or to do better in our work.

In general, motivation should come to our costumer, colleagues, supervisor but also it comes first

to ourselves.

Next is Ability. As we all know ability is the Key in hiring employees. Everyone has natural

talents because each one of us is different in our own way which is the rule of individual differences.

Abilities should be a skill and knowledge without this we cannot act our role as an employee.
For an instance in my recent workplace in Saudi, the maximum time allotment for an order is 15

minutes since I have the ability to serve faster I served it in less than the time allotment. In conclusion I

have the ability to complete the task before the given time frame.

Lastly the Role Perceptions. After you were hired in your workplace you should know what your

role is. We should understand what our role is our workplace. Understanding our role makes us a capable

worker or employee since you know your role, you should know what will you do. We should read also

the by laws our workplace in order for us to learn some knowledge when there is a time we will make

mistakes we will know what we are going to do in an incidence.
