POND REGION

Some of them float on the surface with tiny roots dangling in the water example, duckweed and
frog bit. Others have their roots buried in the mud at the bottom of the pond and their leaves
float on the surface example, waterlilies and crowfoot.

We have seen 4 lotus and too many tropical fish and 4 to 5 ducks.

An aquatic animal is any animal, whether invertebrate or vertebrate, that lives in water for most
or all of its lifetime. Many insects such as mosquitoes, mayflies, dragonflies, and caddisflies
have aquatic larvae, with winged adults.

DRY AND ROCKY REGION

Animals on low-energy sandy beaches adapt their respiration differently from those on surf-
swept beaches. Some adaptations are an increased ventilation rate, an increased ventilation
efficiency, reduced metabolic rate or other ways of energy economy.

We have seen 2 ant hills, 5-6 earthworms, 1 snake and some crabs, but plants are not easily
found rather than small and tall green grass.

These animals survive the harsh conditions in their own way. Some live in burrows (holes).
