Title:
To Study the Transient Response of RC Series Circuit
Introduction:
In this lab we will practically analyze the transient behavior of RC series circuit using
Simulink and form the equations of the corresponding graphs using curve fitting tool.
Methodology:
Following in the procedure of using Simulink for calculating different parameters of
magnetically circuits

• Open a blank model in Simulink and make the circuit as shown above.
• Make the circuit as shown in the above diagram.
• In capacitor set the initial capacitor voltage to zero.
• Also here the Time period (t=RC) is 1msec so set the time to 10 m sec(0.01) to get 10
time periods of graph.
• Use scope to verify your graphs before sending it to workspace for analysis using simout.
• Here we have both R=100 ohm and C=10uF.
• The applied DC source is 12V.
• To measure voltage connect it in parallel and current in series.
• Add the power gui from library
• To see the results double click on Scope.
