Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)

International Day of Yoga 2023

Objective:
The purpose of this Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) is to provide guidelines to all the
postal circles on observing and promoting the International Day of Yoga (IDY) 2023.

1. Social Media Engagement:

● A deck of countdown creatives has been shared by the Ministry of Ayush which needs to
be shared by the social media handles of all postal circles and postal regions.

● A set of social media creatives on the theme of International Day of Yoga (IDY) and Yoga
has been shared by the social media handles of all postal circles and postal regions.

● Following Hashtags to be used while posting social media content related to IDY 2023:

● Following accounts to be tagged while posting social media content related to IDY
2023:@AshwiniVaishnaw @devusinh @PIB_India @mygovindia @mdniy @moayush

● It is requested to kindly take approval of DPS HQ in Circle and PMG in Region

before posting on social media. Grammar and sentence structure to be double
checked.

2. Familiarization with Common Yoga Protocol (CYP)

● A microsite has been created (www.indiapost4yoga.in) where a postal employee can

click on “DOP Employee '' then fill up their basic details and then will land on the page of
CYP where it is available in regional languages as well. It is requested to kindly
encourage all postal employees to visit this page and participate in the celebration of
yoga “IDY 2023” by familiarizing themselves with CYP. Encourage employees to involve
their families in IDY activities.

3. Publicity of Digital Postcard

● A microsite has been created (www.indiapost4yoga.in) where a user can click on

“Digital Post Card '' then fill up their name and email address and can customize their
Yoga themed digital postcard. They can share it further with their loved ones via social
media channels. It is requested to kindly promote it among postal customers and also
 promote it through social media handles of the circles and regions. (Publicity Material will
be made available in the same above mentioned google drive link)

4. Yoga-related Activities:

● Organize online lectures, workshops, and other yoga-related activities at least three
weeks prior to IDY 2023, inviting renowned yoga experts to participate.
● Distribute yoga attire, yoga mats, and other yoga-related goodies featuring the IDY 2023
logo among staff members, promoting the practice and adoption of yoga.
● Encourage employees and staff to participate in IDY competitions organized by the
Ministry of Ayush on the MyGov platform (https://www.mygov.in/), such as Jingle
contests and PM Yoga awards (https://innovateindia.mygov.in/pm-yoga-awards/).
● Collaborate with NGOs to organize CYP workshops involving yoga experts.

5. Report Submission for IDY 2023 Activities:

The report is to be submitted in google-sheet for which a link is being shared. The report
should contain the following:

● Name of the Locations

● No of events/ programmes for each locations
● The total number of participants (Departmental/GDS/Invitees)
● No of posts shared on social media for IDY 2023
● Link to the photographs/videos of IDY 2023 (such as google drive link or WeTransfer
/ WeSendIt link etc.)
● Details of dignitaries who attended these events.

● 5 best photographs taken professionally (landscape mode only) for each locations be
shared.
● 1- 2 Video testimonials taken professionally per Circle (landscape mode only). Location
wise video testimonials may also be recorded through higher end mobile which should
be vetted by the Circle / Region and shared on Social Media before EOD of 21st June.

7. By following this SOP, Circles can effectively promote the International Day of Yoga 2023
and contribute to the overall well-being of the postal employees. For any further
