Hand washing

 Good day ma’am so today I will be performing a return demonstration about performing
hand hygiene using soap and water.

1. First prepare and gather all the necessary equipment


2. Next prepare and assess your hands. And make sure to trim your nails short
3. Turn on the faucet and regulate water flow
4. Wet hands with water
5. Apply enough soap to cover all hand surface
6. Rub hands palm to palm
7. Right palm over left dorsum with interlaced fingers and vice versa
8. Palm to palm with fingers interlaced
9. Back of fingers to opposing palms with fingers interlocked
10. Rotational rubbing of left thumb clasped in right palm and vice versa
11. Rub tips of finger in opposite palm in circular motion
12. Run each wrist with opposite hand
13. Rinse hands with water
14. Dry hands thoroughly with a single use towel
15. Use towel to turn off faucet
16. And that’s all, thank you ma’am
Sterile gloves

1. Good morning ma’am I am queen your student nurse for today, so may I
know your name first ma’am, okay so miss ____ I am going to perform on
how to put a sterile gloves and how to remove it.
2. Before we start let me do my hand hygiene first
3. First check the sterile gloves if the package is dry and unopened, make sure
that the size is correct. And also take note the expiration date.
4. Place the sterile gloves in the clean and dry surface at or above your waist
5. Remove the outer wrapper of the glove package by carefully. Remove inner
package, handling only the outside of it.
6. Pace the inner package on the work surface with the labeled in your waist
area.
7. Carefully open the inner package. Fold open the top flap, then the bottom
and sides. Take care not to touch the inner surface.
8. With the thumb and and two fingers of non-dominant hand grasp the edge
of the cuff of the glove for dominant hand, touch only the inside surface of
the glove. So pull carefully the glove over the dominant hand leaving the
cuff.
9. Keeping the hands above the waistline, lift and hold the glove up and inner
package with fingers down. Be careful to do not touch any unsterile object.
10.Carefully pull the second glove over the non-dominant hand, do not allow
the fingers and the thumb of the glove to the dominant hand to touch any
unsterile object
11.Hold the thumb of the glove hand outward. Place the fingers of the gloved
hand inside the cuff of the remaining glove. Make sure not to touch
anything with the gloves or hands
12.Carefully insert non-dominant hand into glove. Pull the glove on, taking
care that the skin does not touch any of the outer surface of the gloves.
13.Slide the fingers of one hand under the cuff of the other and fully extend
the cuff down the arm, touching only the sterile outside the glove. Repeat
to the other hand
14.Adjust gloves on both hands if necessary, touching only the sterile areas
with other sterile areas.
15.Continue with procedure as indicated.
Removing
 Let’s move to removing the sterile gloves. So grasp the outside of the one
cuff with the other gloved hand avoid touching the wrist, pull halfway down
palms the hand so take the thumb of the half and glove and place under
the cuff of the other glove. So pull glove off and turning it inside out, so
take the finger of the barely hand and tuck it inside remove it inside the
remaining of the glove cuff. Peel the glove inside out and discard it to the
appropriate container. And don’t forget to perform hand hygiene.
