design, and poor delivery route organization within the plant.
The lifting and lowering of heavy objects can lead to workplace injuries, resulting in decreased
productivity and increased healthcare costs. Poor workstation design can also cause
musculoskeletal problems and reduce efficiency in the production process. In addition, poor
delivery route organization can lead to delays in the delivery of parts, causing dissatisfied
customers and lost revenue. To address these issues, the company can implement various
measures, such as using mechanical aids for lifting and lowering heavy objects, redesigning
workstations to optimize ergonomics and workflow, and improving the delivery route
organization with better planning and scheduling.

IV. RECOMMENDATION

In today's competitive business environment, companies must continually strive to improve

their operations to remain competitive and profitable. For small companies that produce and
sell replacement parts for old cars, this means addressing key areas of concern, such as
workplace ergonomics and logistics management.
The priority for this type of company should be to address the lifting and lowering of heavy
objects. Heavy lifting can lead to injuries and reduced productivity, which can have a
significant impact on the bottom line. By investing in equipment such as lifting aids, carts, or
conveyor belts, the company can reduce the physical strain on employees and make the process
safer and more efficient. Additionally, providing training on proper lifting techniques and
encouraging employees to take breaks and stretch regularly can help prevent injuries and
improve overall health and wellbeing.
The second area that needs attention is workstation design. Poorly designed workstations can
lead to inefficiencies, reduced productivity, and increased risk of injury. By reviewing the
current setup and adjusting can improve efficiency and reduce strain on employees, the
company can create a more productive and safer work environment. This could involve
rearranging workstations to better fit the workflow, investing in ergonomic chairs and desks to
reduce the risk of musculoskeletal injuries, and ensuring that tools and equipment are easily
accessible to reduce the risk of trips and falls.
The third area that needs attention is the organization of delivery routes within the plant. Poor
logistics management can lead to delays, wasted time, and increased costs. By analyzing the
current delivery process and making improvements to reduce the time and effort required to
move parts throughout the plant, the company can streamline their operations and reduce costs.
This could involve implementing new technologies such as barcode scanning and inventory
management systems to improve tracking and organization, as well as training employees on
best practices for logistics management.
Overall, by prioritizing improvements in workplace ergonomics and logistics management, the
company can improve its operations and become more competitive and profitable. In addition
to reducing injuries and improving employee health and wellbeing, these improvements can
also lead to increased productivity, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. By creating a safer
and more efficient work environment, the company can position itself for long-term success
and growth.
