ABSTRACT:

 Our Project Hotel Management Systemic includes


registration of persons, storing their details into the
system, and also computerized billing for persons who stay
in rooms.Our software has the facility to give a unique no
for every room and stores the details of every person and
the staff automatically. It includes a search facility to know
the current status of each room. User can search
availability of r ooms and the details of a person using the
id.

 The Hotel management system can be entered using a


username and password. It is accessible either by an
administrator or receptionist. Only they can add data into
the database. The data can be retrieved easily. The interface
is very user-friendly. The data are well protected for
personal use and makes the data processing very Fast.
INTRODUCTION:-

A hotel is a place where bonafide traveller can receive food


and shelter, provided she/he is in a position to pay for it and is
in fit condition to be received.

Inns –Public houses in early times in England were called inns

noun. a commercial establishment offering lodging to


travelers and sometimes to permanent residents, and often
having restaurants, meeting rooms, stores, etc., that are
available to the general public.

TYPES OF HOTELS :-

• 1– STAR HOTEL
A one-star hotel is simply a place to rest your head for the night.
Generally owned by a sole proprietor, these hotels offer modest
rooms with nothing more than a bed and bathroom. There are no
restaurants on-site, but there should be one within walking distance
of the hotel.

•2– STAR HOTEL

2 star hotels typically offer basic and clean accommodation. The


hotels are small to medium size, typically containing about 2-4
stories. They are usually located near major intersections, public
transportation centers, and affordable tourist attractions. Most 2 star
hotels do not have on-site restaurants but provide continental
breakfast. These hotels are usually within walking distance from good
low-price dining.

•3- STAR HOTEL

3-Star Rating: Moving on Up


These hotels are generally more stylish and comfortable than one
and two-star hotels, and they offer a wider range of services and
amenities: a fitness center, a pool, business services, an on-site
restaurant, room service, conference rooms, and valet services.
• 4– STAR HOTEL

Four-star hotels offer loads of special services and amenities,


including concierge services, fine dining, multiple pools, and hot
tubs, high-class fitness centers, bellhops, room service, valet parking,
day spas, limousine services, and an array of special suites.

•5– STAR HOTEL

Five-star hotels are properties that offer their guests the highest levels of
luxury through personalized services, a vast range of amenities, and
sophisticated accommodations. Though there is no standard rating
system for hotels, properties earn 5-star distinction by providing guests
experiences that meet
THERE ARE TWO MAIN AREA IN AHOTEL :-

•Front of the hotel

The greeting area, is known as the front of the house.

Main areas are lobbies, dinning space, rest rooms , passenger elevator,
corridors , hotel rooms.

•Back of the hotel

Where the guests service amenities were taken care of main functions
are laundering, foodstuffs, housekeeping, supplies and other services
that must be kept out of the hotel guests

•The design of entrance has a huge influence on the functionability of any


space or building.
•Adequate space should be provided inside and outside the entrance and
exit
•A safety or fire exit should also be provided in any public building.

•Horizontal circulation in a building may comprise routes though


open- plan areas , walkways, corridors and lobbies
•A well designed building layout , with clear circulation routes that
easy to follow will benefit everybody
•All circulation routes should be well maintained, free of obstacles
and have adequate headroom.
