business. The strategic location of a business can significantly impact its

profitability, customer base, and overall performance. A well-chosen location

can attract more customers, increase brand awareness, and improve

accessibility for both customers and employees. Therefore, it is important for

businesses to carefully evaluate multiple factors such as accessibility,

visibility, competition, demographics, and cost. By doing so, they can

increase their chances of success and profitability.

The influence of strategic business location on business success is a

well-established topic that has been studied by researchers and experts in

the field. According to Will Kenton (2021), In U.S. Small Business

Administration (SBA), location is one of the most crucial factors in

determining the success of a small business. In fact, studies have shown

that businesses located in areas with high foot traffic can increase their

revenue by up to 30%. The SBA provides resources and information to help

small businesses choose the best location for their needs. This includes

advice on factors such as accessibility visibility, and proximity to suppliers

and customer. By taking these factors into account, small business owners

can make informed decisions about where to set up shop. It is worth noting

with the area. Barangay Samonte is located in the municipality of Quezon,

Isabela, which is known for its agricultural industry. Strategic business

location is an important factor in the success of any business. A well-chosen

location can attract customers and increase profitability, while a poorly

chosen location can lead to low sales and financial losses. By studying the

businesses in Barangay Samonte, the researchers hope to identify key

factors that contribute to business success in this area.

The study aims to examine the factor between the strategic business

location and business success. It will explore how businesses can leverage

their location to gain a competitive advantage, attract more customers, and

increase their revenue. Understanding the impact of strategic business

location on business success can help businesses make informed decisions

Small and medium-sized enterprises play a key role in the economy of

most countries around the world, making important contributions to

economic growth and employing significant numbers of people.

When starting a corporation, one can pick from a variety of business

categories, each with its own legal framework and regulations. Sole

proprietorships, partnerships, limited liability companies (LLC), and

corporations are the four primary types of enterprises. Entrepreneurs

should carefully assess which sort of business structure is ideal for their

venture before starting one. Many businesses begin as sole proprietorships,

as this type of business is great for many new, small businesses. As they

grow and expand, many businesses tend to convert to corporations. Big

businesses have large capital and resources to grow. As a result, they have

better economies of scale, allowing them to be more efficient. Large

resources also support a strong market position and greater bargaining

power with customers and suppliers.

Business location is an essential factor that can have a significant

impact on the success of business. Location can influence a business’s

ability to market itself, the competition it faces from businesses, the total

cost of operation, taxes the business owner has to pay and the regulations

they must follow. The location of a firm typically determines whether it will

5. Is there a significant difference in the extent of effects of the strategy of

the business owners in finding a location?

Significance of the Study

The study is believed by the researchers that it can give significance to the

following:

This research will assist Business owners in better understanding the

importance of location. It will help them determine and choose a proper

business location if they are planning to start another business. This study

will help Aspiring business owners in choosing a location when starting a

business, this study will help them consider a strategic location that will

match their business. They can gather enough information to make an

appropriate decision on where to locate their business. The findings of this

research study may be useful to Marketing Teacher in teaching business or

marketing courses in schools. This study can provide them with extra

information that they can include in their lectures. This research can help to

the Book Authors to provide valuable insights into the local market and

help to identify potential opportunities for the business location.

Additionally, it can be used as a tool to educate customers about the

products offered by the business. Finally, it can be used as a platform to

future studies. It can be a big help to them in terms of finding related

studies that will serve as evidences or supporting details for their studies.

Scope and Delimitation

This study is limited only to the effects of strategic business as a

factor on the business success.

This study will be conducted at Barangay Samonte, Quezon, Isabela.

The selection of respondents is limited to the business owners of Samonte,

Quezon, Isabela. 42 business owners are the total of enumeration. This

study will used descriptive correlational design. Frequency count and

percentage distribution; weighted mean; and Analysis of variance (AVOVA)

will be used as statistical tools. The respondents will be requested to answer

the survey questionnaire for the researchers to gain the data needed.

In collecting data through survey questionnaire, the researcher will

minimize intrusions on privacy, confidentiality, and apprehension. A

sufficient level of confidentiality of the research data will be guaranteed to

the participants prior to data collection in order to give them a sense of

security and protection regarding the information they shared or

contributed. Additionally, all communications regarding the study will be

treated with respect and transparency. Ultimately, respondents are not

subjected to harm.

This section presents the reviews of different related literature and

studies summarized from writings of various persons and researcher’s

expert in their fields. The definitions given by the authors shows that the

definition of business location based on business success. Several concepts

have been used in this study but the key variable which was defined is

business location. This is because business location determines the owner’s

capital development of a business, it enables business owners to know the

Business Location

A business location is a location that becomes the focal point of

commercial operations, whether they are managerial, administrative, or

technical in nature. The choice of site is a crucial factor in determining how

successfully a business can compete. Also, the business's location improves

its chances of attracting customers. The improper business location will be

extremely harmful and fatal since future sales will not be at their highest

potential. Producers must therefore pay closer attention to what consumers

want in order to deliver services that satisfy those needs.

According to Juliet Alfred, et al. (2015), "location is crucial for

business operators to put at the top of their minds. If you are preparing to

open a food or retail business with a storefront, putting your business in the

proper location might be considered the most important factor during

startup. Of course, you need a winning product too but how will anyone

know about that product unless you get them through the door? Hence, the

three most important decisions you will make are where to locate your

business. The choice of a retail store is negatively impacted by a long

distance since fewer people visit a store frequently. The convenience of

having far-off consumers just next-door benefits stores in the city's center.

business location require some serious work which include: Precise

planning and research, surveying the demographics, checking sources of

issues, understanding the state laws and taxes, and much more.

According to Jason Luthor (2019), it is impossible to overestimate the

importance of location for business success. A business's location places it

in a good position to draw not only a consumer base, but also the kind of

talent needed to make the business successful. As there are always areas in

a city that have a reputation, whether it be a reputation for modest living or

a reputation for rich luxury, a business location also contributes in the

creation of a brand and image. The profitability of your business may be

impacted by choosing a location for your business that appropriately

represents your brand and products. According to research, one of a

business most crucial success elements is its location. For micro

entrepreneurs, individuals who launch a small business employing fewer

than nine people, location has an even greater impact. For these small

businesses, the location strategy is particularly important since it

Customers

Customers are the lifeblood of any business that becomes a key to run

a successful business. Having customers is a very important aspect of a

business that generally save costs and increase profits thus enhancing

business value. According to (Stål & Corvellec, 2018); customers’ are vary

widely hence, there is a need for a theoretical model to holistically

understand how customers’ purchase intentions and behaviours are affected

by various critical factors or variables. Considering such perspectives and

measuring these inter-linking factors or variables could help the analysis of

different customer types and their expectations, making it possible to learn

how to influence their intentions and behaviour.

Based on a literature review of Camacho-Otero et al. (2018) found that

the main factors influencing the perception and acceptance of a customer on

circular solutions fall into one of seven major themes: personal

characteristics, product and service offering, knowledge and understanding,

experience and social aspects, risks and uncertainty, benefits, and other

psychological factors. Other major issues are related to customers’

ownership concerns, specifically in the business-to-consumer sector, and

customers’ indifference when they lease, rather than purchase, products.

towards to the business (Calvo-Porral & Levy-Mangin, 2020; Camacho-

Otero, Boks, & Pettersen, 2018; Chen, Hung, & Ma, 2020; Frishammar &

Parida, 2019; Kahraman & Kazançoglu, 2019; Wastling, Charnley, &

Moreno, 2018). Stressed that customers need to be interested and involved

in resource recirculation, and that customer attitudes are vital to the

achievement of a business. Customers need to be prepared to pay more for

the environmental benefits of sustainable products, but they will experience

a moral satisfaction when they make their purchases.

Sales

According to (Rakasiwi, 2017) sales in business profits increases the

amount of own capital that comes from retained earnings. Sales are

relatively stable and always increase in a company, making it easier for the

company to obtain external funds or debt flows to improve its operations.

Companies with relatively stable sales levels can be safer to obtain more

loans and bear higher fixed costs compared to companies with unstable

sales.

Moreover (Dewi, 2019) indicated that sales  is also a factor “that

affects the value of the company. Sales growth is an investment success of

the past period and can be used as a prediction of future growth. The

growth of a company can be seen from the increase in sales volume. With

the increase in sales volume, the company can increase the company's”

revenue and profits, so the company can cover costs incurred for the

company's operations. If sales growth increases, the financial circulation

within the company can be said to be smooth. With the smooth financial or

funding problems in the company, the company can be said as a liquid

company. With a company's liquidity it means that the company is able to

meet its financial obligations in a timely manner (Utami, 2018).

There are different benefits for considering different marketing

strategies for the sales performance of the company according to (KIM, JUN

and HYUN, 2022). The very first benefit is growing sales amount to be

manage marketing tactics and make effective sales. There is the need to

encourage the sales and make existing to be considered as existing and past

customers. It is associated to manage planning business operations and is

careful as the core benefit to understanding the memorable in an effective

way (The Benefits of Marketing Your Business, 2022). Another benefit which

the company used by having a marketing process is using and managing

with different reputations to be considered as one of the effective and

positive reputations and manage considered in a more applicable way.

According to the view of Gillum (2022), with the help of effective

marketing sources and manage the concepts which are useful for with

different key factors. There is a wide range of insights and make effective

importance of marketing and its impact on the sales of the company. The

impact of marketing increaseseffective opportunities which are useful in

making sales and effectively moving for higher consideration rates. The

organisation had to make strong sales for managing culture to be considered

effective and applicable. Another impact is it helps in covering the sales and

it works to be considered as a marketing activity and create a perception of

higher greater sales and its coverage (Kusumawati, et.al., 2022). The third

high impact of marketing techniques on the company’s sales performance is

associated with marketing and its identity buying behaviour and the

There is a high need to manage price-sensitive perception and make high

competitors undersetting the roles and make a leader within the company.

All of these are highly related to managing research and co-founding with

the sales technique which is used and had been shifted for completing their

priorities in the market.

methods for conducting resources and achieving high advertising planning

marketing tools and managingto implement marketing strategies. Another

and makingan advertisement that would be effective and coordinated the

marketing plan (Strategies to Improve Sales Performance, 2022). These

marketing tactics would be useful and make good products to make an

increase in different customers and increase sales in the performance of the

company. It further helps in managing gradually resources and it increases

the customers and increment in sales (Li, 2022).

Profit

According to Rifqi Faisal (2015).Profitability is a factor that should

receive important attention because to carry out its life a company must be

in a favorable condition. Without profit, it will be difficult for companies to

attract capital from outside. Analysis of profitability is very important for

creditors and equity investors. For creditors, profit is a source of interest

and principal payments. As for equity investors, profit is one of the

determinants of changes in the value of securities.In addition, the level of

profitability can show how well the management of the company is, for that

we need a tool to be able to assess it. The profitability ratio is the company's

ability to earn profits about sales, total assets, and own capital.

promising”. In addition, the growth of ROA (Return on Assets) will be able to

convince investors that the company is able to provide a high level of

investment return. This was captured as a positive signal by investors so

that they would be motivated to increase their stock demand transactions

which would have an impact on increasing the value of the company.

entrepreneur will not make the maximum money possible. It is highly

beneficial for net sales since selecting a strategic shop location makes it

easier for customers to satisfy their needs and increases dealer income. The

incorrect business location will be exceedingly harmful and fatal since

future sales will not be at their peak. As a result, businesses must pay more

attention to what consumers want in order to provide services that meet

their demands.

Profit

In the study conducted by (Rakasiwi, 2017), the profitability ratio is

measured by Return on equity (ROE) is a ratio that shows how much the

company's ability to generate net income to return equity to shareholders.

The higher this ratio, the better for the company's shareholders.

was influenced by the factors of business success. The findings of this

literature and study are complex, this requires careful interpretation. Based

on information obtained from the results of this literature and study, it is

expected to become a consideration for policymaking in the field of business.

Finally, some limitations in this study must be followed up for future

research. This study will illustrate the complexity in the relationship

between the factors that affect the business location through business

success. But far more meaningful this research can be a reference for

educational policy-making and for future studies. Second, future research is

expected to examine other factors that can affect the business success of

business owners.  As explained above, the authors have been widely studied

the factors on business location on the business success. Third, this study

collected from the internet. Far better, for future research to collect panel

Chapter III

Research Methodology

This chapter reveals the methods of research to be employed by the

researcher in conducting the study which includes the research design,

research locale, respondents of the study, data gathering instrument, data

gathering procedure and the data gathering instrument.

Research Design

The Descriptive Correlational Research Design will be used in this

study. This aims to describe the relationship between two or more variables

to determine the effects of strategic business location as a factor to the

business success.

Research Locale

This study will be conducted at Barangay Samonte, Quezon, Isabela. 

Respondents of the Study

The respondents of this study will be the business owners at Samonte,

Quezon, Isabela. Total enumeration of 42 business owners will be used as

the respondent of the study.

Data Gathering Instrument

The primary tool that will be used in gathering the data will be the

researcher made questionnaire, a survey questionnaire. This will be used to

get responses from the respondents concerning the business owners

towards on the effects of strategic business on the business success. The

researcher made questionnaire will consist of four parts; Part 1 will be the

profile of the respondents, Part 2 will be the effects of strategic business

location as a factor a on business success.

Data Gathering Procedure

The researchers will request a validation of survey questionnaire to

the research teacher, and will frame a letter of request to the Barangay

Captain of Samonte, Quezon, Isabela to seek approval to conduct the study

and for the distribution of the questionnaire to the respondents.

Researchers made questionnaires will be given to the respondents, After the

respondents answered the questionnaire, the researchers will gather all the

data to tallied it. After organizing the collected data, the researchers will

make a deeper analysis to come up with the generalization or conclusion of

the study.

be interpreted and analyzed using the statistical tools described below:

1. Frequency Count and Percentage Distribution. This will be used to

determine the business profile of the respondents.

2. Weighted Mean. This will be used to determine the respondents’

responses on the effects of strategic business location as a factor on

business success.

X – mean

∑ - sum of all scores

N - numbers of cases

4. Analysis of variance (ANOVA). This will be used to determine the

difference in extent of effects of the strategy of the business owners in

finding a location.
