Title of the SCHOOL LEARNING ACTION CELL ON THE UTILIZATION OF REGIONAL MID-
Activity YEAR ASSESSMEN RESULTS AND FINDINGS BASIS FOR THE
DEVELOPMENT OF SCHOOL INTERVENTION AND REMEDIATION PLAN
Objectives The Learning Action Cell aims to:
 accelerate the delivery of basic education facilities and services by promoting
learner well-being, inclusive education, and a positive learning environment;
 utilize the results and findings of RMYA as baseline data for the development
of school intervention/remediation plan for the identified learning gaps in all
learning areas in the different grade levels; and
 relate the learning gaps of learners to the Pedagogical Content Knowledge
(PCK) and competency of teachers.

Narrative Report/ The registration opened at 7:30 – 8:00 am and the program started at exactly
Highlights of the 8:00 am. Ma’am Pamela B. Rubio, Teacher I, served as the meeting's master of
Activity ceremony and greeted everyone with her lively and genuine aura.

Ma’am Jeralyn B. Aldaba led the opening prayer to set the day for a calm and
fruitful meeting and followed by the singing of National Anthem led by Ma’am Essel
F. Muñoz.

It had then formally started when Ma’am Virginia S. San Gabriel, PhD.
School Principal IV gave her opening remarks. She greeted all the faculty members
with a very optimistic attitude and she wished everyone a wonderful and productive
day. She also introduced the new members of the faculty.

After the opening remarks, it was followed by an energizer that was led by
Ma’am Rosebel Dela Cruz to raise the energy level also to re-engage and re-
motivate the participants of the meeting.

The preliminaries were all done before we’d come to the first resource
speaker of the meeting. As to introduce the first resource speaker, Sir Ryan M. De
Vera, Master Teacher I, TLE introduced and welcomed the first resource speaker
which was Ma’am Virginia S. San Gabriel, PhD. School Principal IV.

objective of the LAC session that was to discuss the new agenda of the Department
of Education, the DepEd MATATAG: Bansang Makabata, Batang Makabansa
program. She elaborated the agenda and goals of this new program of the
department that will set new direction of the agency and stakeholders on resolving
the basic education challenges. DepEd MATATAG stands for:
 MAke the curriculum relevant to produce competent and job-ready, active,
and responsible citizens;
 TAke steps to accelerate delivery of basic education facilities and services;
 TAke good care of learners by promoting learner well-being, inclusive
education, and a positive learning environment; and
 Give support to teachers to teach better.

The first session was already done, it was followed by a break-out session for
each department to discuss the results of the Mid-Year Assessment. Subject
coordinators led the meeting for each department, and the objective of the break-out
session was each department shall plan an intervention and remediation activity to
cater the least learned competencies of the learners.

Break-out session had already ended, all the faculty members came back to
the session room/hall to continue the third and last agendum of the meeting. That
was to present the revised by-laws of the Faculty and Employee Association by the
FEA officers who were Sir Christian F. Baltao, Master Teacher I, MAPEH, Sir Ryan
M. De Vera, Master Teacher I, TLE, and Ma’am Susan Galvez, Master Teacher I,
Science.
They discussed and clarified some changes in the by-laws of the association.

Afterwards, awarding of certificates to the speaker, technical-working group,


participants happened, followed by a photo opportunity by grade level advisers and
subject teachers.

At precisely 12:00nn the Learning Action Cell had concluded, and the overall
chairman of the meeting Sir Christian F. Baltao, Master Teacher I, MAPEH., wished
everyone to enjoy and have a happy long weekend ahead.
