Event Overview
A fundraising event in support of the Dragons Volleyball Club, to assist with
lowering the costs associated with playing and training in the various ACT
competitions.
A social event aimed to increase the camaraderie of Dragons Volleyball Club
members and their families.
Article of Events
1730 - 1800
Event coordinators arrive at venue, including Tournament Organiser, Playing
Supervisor, Table Managers and others nominate members.
Re-arrange the room to ensure its adequately prepared for first playing round
at 1900
1830
Players start arriving.
Entry fees to be collected from attendees upon arrival.
All poker chip allocations are expected to completed prior to 1900
1900 - 1915
A brief tutorial will be presented by the Playing Supervisor and several
demonstration hands will be played on each table.
1915 - 2015
The Table Managers will supervise their table and re-buy options where
required.
Snack food to be available from 1930
Warning that the last re-buy will close at 2015.
2015 - 2045
The first round will finish progressively per table.
2045 - 2115
Break and re-allocate poker chips for the Semi Finals.
2115 - 2215
Start Semi Final and Minor Final to be managed by a playing supervisor as
necessary.
2215 - 2230
Break and re-allocate poker chips for the Grand Final.
Event Costs
This is a not for loss event.
Cost of entry into the tournament is $25 per player.
Re-buy cost is $10 per chip allocation.
Includes an allocation of first round playing poker chips and snack food.

Prizes
Budget for prizes on the night is set at $450, however this could be increase if
numbers are above the expected 50 attendees. First $250, Second $150 &
Third $50.
Gift Vouchers (Annex A) will be awarded to the overall Winner, Runner-up
and Third place on the night, the voucher are for Dragon Dollars (not cash).
Dragon Dollars can be used to pay playing or training fees, Dragons
merchandise or similar items.
Event Promotion
The event will be promoted on the Dragons Volleyball Club Facebook page.
Via Flyer – Annex B
All ACT Dragons Volleyball Club members will be informed via the club
website.
Team managers & coaches will play a vital personal level role in event
marketing
o Team managers & coaches are asked to remind their teams at the
conclusion of their games for 2 weeks prior to the event
o Flyers will be handed out to players after their game in the week prior
to the event.
