Main Duties/ Responsibilities

● In charge in keeping records of everyday production, laying efficiency of the flock,

mortality and other matters concerning to stocks.
● Record the day-to-day financial transactions and completing the posting process.
● Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct day book, supplier’s ledger, customer
ledger and general ledger.
● Bring the books to the trial balance stage.

● Visits the farm twice a month or when needed to monitor the health of the flock.
● Gives medication and vaccination program to the flock.

A Flock Men is responsible for monitoring the day-to-day status of the layer birds and checking
the quality, quantity and condition of the produced eggs.

● Ensure chickens are fed properly.

● Checks nipple drinkers and ensures that there are no clogged nipples
● Ensures assigned chicken houses are clean.
● Picks eggs and delivers to the egg warehouse.
● Checks unlaying chickens that needs to be culled out.
● Perform and assist on time of vaccination.

● Observe chickens for sign of illness and give medication as per instruction given by farm
manager.
