Direction:

Write a one-page memo using the given topic. Be sure to paraphrase the given
information for SafeAssign compliance. Observe conciseness by writing only the
essential information on each part.

Scenario:

“Cardinal University prohibits its students from engaging in dishonest academic

behavior as per the Student Code of Conduct Policy and the Honest Academic
Conduct Procedure”

However, cheating among college students remains rampant. This is based on the
latest report of the Student Affairs Council. Thus, as the president of the university’s
Supreme Student Body, write a memo addressed to (write the chosen name), the
Coordinator of Student Affairs. First, express your positive response/reaction by
stating your support and the whole student community to this school policy. Give him
the assurance that Student Body will not condone cheating, lying or plagiarism among
the students but instead promote academic honesty in the campus. Second, state your
requests on behalf of the Student Body.

Third, you may request that the teachers be reminded to define precisely during the
orientation what would compromise academic integrity within writing assignments,
seatworks, project work, etc. since according to most students they are genuinely not
aware that they are committing violations. They claim that they are confused as to how
to cite sources and how to paraphrase effectively. Thus, we encourage the professors
to extend a hand in providing more guidelines regarding the said difficulties.

Lastly, that teachers require students to always use Turnitin.com and Grammarly.com.
Plagiarism Checker as their references in writing their activities. Likewise, teachers use
the latter in checking all the major assignments of the students for them to arrive at a
better assessment.
