TOPIC OF DISCUSSION
Authorities under the Apprentice Ship Act have started issuing notices to get register under the National Apprenticeship
Training Scheme (NATS) through portal www.mhrdnats.gov.in as an establishment to engage apprentices.

Establishments could not enrol/register themselves under the NATS due to lack of information available on Apprenticeship
Act and schemes such as NATS, which has been implemented under the Act.

Both the Apprentice and the Employer need to know what the law on this subject is.

You may be aware that Govt of India clarified the importance of developing Skilled Manpower for our country. The Ministry of
Education, Government of India has introduced and started implementing the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme
(NATS) for providing skill training to Graduates and Diploma holders under the provisions of the Apprentices Act 1961
(amended in 1973). The National Scheme of Apprenticeship Training will provide a comprehensive solution to meet your
establishments’ present and future manpower requirements by compensating the Apprentices with monthly stipend.

This Webinar explores the law that governs employers and apprentices and some of the important technical know how such
as registration under the NATS, its advantages to the apprentices and establishments. It is an opportunity to address your
queries and doubts to the subject matter expert and Authority under the Act.
