READING COMPREHENSION (lecto comprensión)

TEXT A

1) Read the following text from Kelly’s diary

Dear diary
I came back from my holiday last night. It was a really amazing one. Until 10 th December
last year, I didn’t know what to do or where to go on holiday but my Colombian friend,
Danny invited me to spend Christmas and New Year with him. So I went to Colombia!
I arrived in Santa Marta, a city on the Caribbean coast, on the 20th December. After I
unpacked my suitcase, Danny and I cycled to the beach which is only three blocks away
from my friend’s summer house. First, we put on our wet suits and went skiing. Then we
sunbathed and had some delicious fruit juice. The day before Christmas Eve we joined a
group of Danny’s friends and we all went rafting. It was a bit scary but wonderful!. We had
a lot of fun together! In the evening, all the shops were open so I did some shopping. I
bought some Christmas presents for Danny and my new group of friends. Fortunately, I
didn’t spend much money because there were some special offers.
On Christmas, and New Year’s days, we all got together at Danny’s and enjoyed ourselves
a lot. We had dinner and sang Christmas carols and old pop songs too. We danced and
celebrated until around 5 a.m. both occasions!
When the celebrations finished, we all planed some activities to do together everyday. It
didn’t rain at all so we played beach volleyball, went on a boat trip and did tai chi on the
beach. One day, I went skydiving and I enjoyed myself very much!
On the day my departure, everybody was sad. I cried because I didn’t want to leave my
friends. But they promised to visit me soon! To tell you the truth, I’d like to fly to Colombia
right now to see them again! I miss them too much…
