Solution
1. Create a new Revit family template using the Detail Item template.

2. Create the additional reference planes needed for the parametric framework.

3. Add aligned dimensions and add equal constraints where shown to ensure that the base

plate remains centered on the origin.

4. Add the labels to each dimension as shown below.

5. Create the rectangle for the exterior of the base plate and add 4 circles for the holes. Ensure

that the circles have their center mark visible. Align the circles to the reference planes and

ensure that they are constrained.

6. Dimension all four circles and add the HoleDiameter labels as shown below.

7. Finally, select the four circles and set the detail to only appear in Fine.
