Stella Marie Lorenz was awarded a Master of Vocal Accompaniment at the University of Music and

Performing Arts Vienna. She has performed in concert halls as the Musikverein Wien, Konzerthaus Wien,
Schloss Belvedere, Neues Schloss Stuttgart and Rosengarten Mannheim, Germany.
She was an ERASMUS+ scholar studying with Roger Vignoles at the Royal College of Music London and
Gerold Huber at the Hochschule für Musik Würzburg in 2018/2019 and has played in master classes with
Stefan Arnold, Helmut Deutsch, Gerold Huber, Anne Le Bozec, Christa Ludwig, Mitsuko Shirai.

Connecting songs, chamber music and solo repertoire throughout different musical periods and art
categories is of great importance to her. Together with a costume and stage designer, she is co-funder of
“Ton und Tapete | Kulturkollektiv für Musik und Kunst” - a registered association with the aim to find new
formats for classical concerts. This concerns the stage, lighting, stage props and costumes but also the
choice of the repertoire: Taking the view that Contemporary and Classical Music should not be separated,
they seek out songs which have similar questions, topics or (musical) themes and connect them in one
programme.
Their first project “Zwillingssonnen” took place in the Semperdepot in Vienna and was generously funded by
the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna and the Cultural Fund of Vienna.

Stella Marie Lorenz has played several world permieres of songs of which one was written for and dedicated
to her.
Future projects include a concert tour to Spain and several cities in Germany in May 2020, taking part in the
Robert-Schumann-Competition in Zwickau and recording sessions of contemporary songs in September
2020.

Starting this autumn, she will join the Royal Academy of Music London 2020/2021 as a student in
Professional Diploma.
